Thanks, I’ll see what I can do.

I was eying off the collectors Millenium Falcon whilst I was over your way, just too big to put anywhere.

Thank you for all the replies - much appreciated.

I was never into Playmobil as a kid but someone recommended on another platform. Ordered some for my 6yo - tbd.

Yeah, Falcon and Death Star are huge pieces of Lego, I saw the old Death Star at Walmarts last year for an unbeatable price comparing to Germany, but no way to carry that thing as handluggage into the cabin...bummer.
Death Star II is not a must-have item, because its too less detailed and just a collectors item. The very new Disney Death Star is junk imo.

lol...thnx. It's a mix of parts from separate places. Some are from actual lego figures but a lot are custom parts. I also have a lego Alien from the movie on my desk.

I can't find all my links but Battle Brick is where it started on-line for me. It lists some manufacturers at the bottom of the page. Pop them in Google and go from there. There was also a local store that I originally started with but on-line was way cheaper.

Took me a while to figure out the steering wheel that goes through the sunroof, but it's a genius idea.

As for my son, I bought a bunch of playforever cars...I only wish they had them when i was a kid. Seriously well designed and built to be bulletproof.

We also like to play with playmobil and automoblox together.

I'm not familiar with that brand but the price point is similar to AutoArt which are very high quality.

Waking this thread back up!

Short rant...

I am a HUGE Jurassic Park fanboy. Loved the book and OG movie.

Never got around to seeing any of the sequels/spin offs over the years. To be honest I was always a little skeptical and didn't want to ruin my first impression. Well randomly caught some of one of these Jurassic Worlds with Pratt on TV yesterday (I like him - he's a funny guy) ok. what in the actual fk!? How did the dinosaur special effects get worse!? Don't get me started on the acting - unbelievable how terrible it was.

So the point here... I've been pushing the Jurassic line toys on my kids and they'll watch the LEGO series etc. They are cool toys but holy cow! The kids are going to watch these movies eventually and wonder why the hell their dad was so enthusiastic about this crap!

Anywhoo anyone have some other quality toy recommendations?

My oldest is obsessed with Schleich figurines at the moment. Younger ones still into most of the above mentioned on this thread.

Anyone have experience mixing in Brio 'compatible' train pieces from Hape or Melissa & Doug? Have stuck to Brio thus far as we continue to build out the collection but curious whether those lower priced options are any good.

Pretty neat AFOL aimed LEGO Porsche announced today. I still have to build the Panigale V4 R. Hemming and hawing about including my kids on that one

Hot wheels really are a great deal for $1.

The effects themselves didn't get worse, its just that there was much more thought in the framing and directing on the original JP. Spielburg mixed CG with practical effects almost seamlessly. There are some truly dated CG and compositing in JP, but they work better because Spielburg really is a master when he gets it right. The Veloceraptor's breath on the kitchen door window, the 'Rex's eyes dilating when the kids shine a light on it... its these little details that bring the dinos to life, it's more than just good looking CG, its bringing these moments to life that sells it.

That Porsche looks like something special!
