If they do, that would be terrible for optics and people would riot. You can't charge 600,000 Euros or whatever it's going to cost and then make it standard kit for a $100k car.

I do wish it was a bit wider, but it does seem there's some sort of unique panels on the side. Kind of hard to tell with the angle of the picture how much wider the car is to the M4

Seems like BMW is going through another strange design phase, but the front end look is improved and the rear could be and have a wider stance.. For the cost well it's out there. Super shocked.

OK, so it's not quite as wild as the Hommage prototype, but it does seem to capture some of the design elements there. For $750k, my expectations are pretty high on the wow-meter, but let's hold off until we see the final product.
Even if it did fit -- and I'm pretty sure it won't -- BMW will be hand-making these body panels in extremely limited numbers. I doubt you'll just be able to go to the parts counter at your local dealership and order one; owners with fender benders will probably have to go through special channels for parts.

Car looks absolutely great but nowhere near $600K. Sorry, but there's just no way anyone is spending that sort of money on a modified M4. I'm okay with that price point but the car must justify it. Think about it, $600K is a $765 LT, twice the price of a AMG GT Black Series (normally and still costs more than a BS in the current market), more than a 488 Pista (in today market). So you need to make this car be really special. The original concept was maybe wild enough for the price point, but this car certainly is not.

I too wonder if that grill is a sneak peak at the 4 series LCI?
It's right out of the BMW design playbook. Introduce a radical design, and then reel it in with a subsequent version that everyone will find relatively beautiful.

BMW customers: Can we have the M4 with a regular grill please?
BMW M: Sure, but that will be 600k and they are all sold out already. |

Definitely not as radical as the Hommage version (except may be the widened rear section…hard to tell). It makes the M4 CSL look like a bargain at $140,000… |

Hold up. Wayment. 750k Pesos? Also it says 6MT FTW on trunk. Over/under it's going to be manual?

That front is still very ugly.
Nothing really special about this car.. very disappointed. They invest too much into marketing and social media. Should rather put the budget into the engineering and product teams. And hire some talented designers. |

Lot's of you don't see the details.
It has a lot of details like the hommage but its still covered... If you take a good look you can see the same front fender idea as on the concept. The back is a lot wider too Last edited by bimfaster; 06-27-2022 at 02:44 PM.. |

That rear wing looks to be very similar to the one on an E30 M3.
And if the car is about as close to the images as they can get to the images below I will be charged with theft because I will be stealing one of them. |
