Coffee or any caffeine is not a good idea. Your body is in a state of dehydration and the only cure is hydration. That being said water is the best choice to accomplish this (unless you can manage to get IV fluids). I would stay away from sports drinks. If you must have sports drinks then do 50/50 mix of the sport drink and water. Alcohol is processed though your liver at a specific rate. You cannot increase that rate.............. although some will argue that. So in essence time is the only thing that will get that alcohol out of your system.

For me, a nice greasy breakfast, tons of water, Advil and then at night an entire pizza. Then spend the next week in the gym trying to burn off what I put on.

Hangover is simply your bodies withdrawal from alcohol. The solution is? You guessed it, more alcohol!

Depending upon the degree of it, will determine your best course of action. But here is a secret weapon that I have tried and can honestly say it works: LyteShow (amazon carries it or a similar product). Literally your body is having a major "chemical imbalance". The quickest way to fix that is: Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and fluids. I originally bought this product a couple years ago for strenuous post workout purposes. But read where someone used it for Hangovers. The stuff works... Period. Hope this helps. These days at my age, I simply stop at a certain point when drinking. It's just not worth poisoning your body to that degree. |
