Embarrassing American confession of the day - I thought Bangladesh was a city in India. I consider myself quite good at geography normally...

Whatever impacted had a decent momentum.

At least it wasn't enough to damage your structure. Had that happen to one of the hotels a while back. Not fun.
We found part of a headlight that had Honda stamped on it. But no parts big enough to identify a model. So either pilot, odyssey or ridge line traveling a moderate speed. Or, civic accord traveling st high rate of speed.

Snapped a 12" diameter power pole with enough momentum to take out two more metal pipes that were 10' past the pole, then knock over the hydrant and its two bollards which were an additional 10-15 feet past the water pipes.

Pretty sure what ever it was ended up on its roof or side.

You can see tire tracks heading up the drain field mound and then curve back towards the power pole. Must have been a massive impact. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in seeing the surveillance footage.

My guess is an old Honda Pilot. Though an Odyssey is also likely.

The footage should be interesting.

Have you tried inquiring with the police, or are you waiting to see the footage first?

Yes. Will be calling them as soon as I figure out which department handled the accident. Getting power, water and interweb access restored is priority one. All of our operating system is accessed through the web. Since all the existing cabling outside the building was severed, they have to run new cable into the building.

I'm helping. Yay!

They sent one guy out here in an F150 (no bucket truck) to run cable up the pole, across the street, and under my parking lot. Wtf?!

Entertaining though. Keep us posted. Is there an office pool going on around what time the cable will be restored / cable guy falls off the ladder?

He cut a length of cable extra long, spooled it up, waited for a break in traffic and ran across straight up his ladder to get the cable high enough to clear traffic.

Clearly not his first rodeo.

No drama. I'm actually typing this on a computer which is wirelessly attached to the internet. All of a sudden, my lack of running water in this building seems easier to deal with.

BTW, just got a quote to fix the water deal... $2300.

Called the sheriff's office to get the report and since my name isn't on it, they can't give me anything. They gave me the deputy's name and number to contact about it. Told me to tell him that there was property damage and that i needed to be added to the report. Once that happens, i can get a copy of the report which should have his or her insurance listed.

It appears there is no video.

When i pull up time period of 00:00:00 - 23:59:59 for Nov 26 i only get 00:00:00 - 03:38:49 and it just stops at 3:38am with all property intact.

That's some buuuull shit.
