Women inherently find masculine features attractive, even when they are attracted to women.

Admittedly not a ton of exposure here, but have met quite a few lesbians and inevitably the majority of the times there is one of the partners who seems to have taken great pains to look masculine. I don't understand it otherwise.

I don't get this shit either. You like women...I assume some of that is how they look. Why do want a woman that looks like a dude? Most gay men I know like men who look like men...makes sense. I don't get the butch thing either

Studies have shown that women are more flexible about which sex they shack up with. Part of this is economic need.
IMHO, there is a segment of the lesbian population that can be characterized as 'political' lesbians: not wanting to be overpowered by men, psychically or physically. These women will sometimes take on the tougher accoutrements of men.

Agreed - had a girl that worked for me for years and dated many a man. Then all of a sudden - was a lesbian. It did not escape me that her new SO was the butch one AND made a pretty nice living.

I am going to their wedding in May. Who am I to judge? Still my friend no matter what.

Funny thing is - a few months back she posted on social media she was excited to go to this Chip N Dales club night. I thought to myself "If I read that as her well off lesbian lover.....I might have some questions."

Like I said - to each their own. I like them both. I just don't think most guys have this in them. Well, outside of the Tiger King world anyway......
