so what's the conclusion on the engine build is he waiting until end of September or putting everything back together with stock parts? I was so happy to finally see this build get under way, but seems like there's a ton of part supply delays.

I'm pretty sure he's going to build that motor with different pistons and cams, but not send the heads out since that would delay the rebuild. I'm going to watch it again today, I was dozing in and out when I had it on. The race at Spa made me sleepy (thanks Max...).

Amazing machines on display too!

Wonderful tour! Cross country trip in that B7 would be sublime (aside from the cost to fill the tank multiple times )

WOW...that final build price. But it's all worth it in the end to be invited to the Alpina factory and get the reception that he did.

Going back to page 15 of this thread, I think several of us were spot on with the final build cost estimate

Lastly yea, sad he got married. All the best...
we get it, you don't like your cars detailed. just skip the detailing part of the video.

Same! Love yours, looks clean. I have an '08 (photos are in my profile page, they're big).

Thanks again Sreten for the awesome B7 content. It was great seeing the car get the attention it deserves. Enjoyed every minute of every episode.

When I made a visit there back in 2004, wished I had got that much of a detailed tour but sadly I did not have an Alpina, I had a lowly Hartge and an 86 M tech 325i. I also went to the Hartge facility. Was great living in the Eifel region. You are right near so much car history Nurburg and Hartge and Alpina plus close enough to Spa and Hockenheim.

After picking up our Alpina, we arrived at their HQ in Buchloe around noon on a Tuesday and no one was in the main showroom incl. the merch shop, we had to wait for someone to come and take our money for the stuff we got. Obviously, all the computers were shut as well.

Can't really see much anyway, everything is behind gates and hidden.

i'll be honest, it's hard for me to get into project valencia. i think sreten said there will only be very few videos on it. but, when he only uploads 1 video every few weeks, it's such a disappointment seeing this car as the one he uploaded this week.

I don't mind it at all, videos like this are cathartic to me. I don't mind the detailing videos for the same reason. They give me an excuse to kick back on the couch and not have to think too hard about what I'm looking at. Kind of like watching a fish tank.

I thought this was a really good video. Always learn a lot. That yellow leather does it for me, so good. I think if it was black leather which I normally prefer I wouldn't care about the car at all.

I like the detailing stuff too. There's so many ways to screw that up it's always good to learn as much as you can.
