Lebron is good, but I'm honestly beginning to think this guy is becoming the more dominant player as of late...

randolph is a beast. i enjoyed watching him and gasol dominate the playoff series against the clips.

clippers and blazers would be a great series. blake is playing his best basketball right now.

they are not getting too far, they are the 8th seed on the west with the grizzlies trailing them by 1.5 games, my take is they get bumped off that 8th seed and don't make the playoffs this year.

he scores more because he has to...

Bron moves the ball better, passes better and makes his teammates around him better...

Durant wouldn't have these numbers if Westbrook were on the floor...

Warriors will never go deep into the playoffs because their perimeter defense absolutely sucks. Igoudala was supposed to help solve that this season, but the treys and uncontested perimeter shots continue.

So the only hope the Warriors have to beat a good team is to out shoot them, which they are usually good at. But how effective is that strategy at winning championships? Defense wins championships.

That's true, but I think it shows just how good Durant is that he's doing this pretty much by himself. After Westbrook went down, everyone thought Oklahoma's season was in jeopardy, but here they are with Durant leading the way with the BEST record in the league. Lebron passes more, and doesn't take as many shots because he has so many good options to choose from, and Miami's ability to spread the floor is why they are so successful; Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen.

But it's not like Kevin Durant is just lobbing up shots, his PERs rating is actually higher than Lebron James. So not only is he shooting better than Lebron, his "value add" rating to his team is higher (630 vs 517 for Lebron).

Right now KD is the better shooter from beyond the arc, he's the better free throw shooter, he's the better rebounder, the better blocker, and by far the better scorer. The only major stat that LBJ leads KD in is assist (by 1). Durant is having an MVP type season, and certainly a more impressive season than Lebron.

not a better rebounder, but this year Durant is grabbing more rebounds....

yes on better blocker...

not a better scorer, but this year Durant is outscoring Bron...

for a decade Bron has averaged more than 6 assists a game...

Durant's biggest assist year is this year at 5.5...

I would agree that he is in the lead for MVP voting, but I would never say "certainly" a more impressive season than LeBron....

I mean, if you're a 6'8" 275lb SF that averages 57% from the field and can still fade away off one foot and drain a game winning 24 foot shot, it will take quite a bit for someone to take that MVP from you "certainly".....

Thumbs up

Yeah, that'll be an even or + trade for the Rockets. About as good as the original trade worked out for the Knicks.

See: http://www.sportsgrid.com/nba/raymon...te-themselves/

and see: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...iggest-mistake

And, as much as I'd like Lin to go someplace else, he definitely would NOT be better off playing w/Melo again (who reportedly was one of the reasons he got let go from the Knicks in the 1st place) and would be worse off because the Knicks are a shambles and, even if they could make it to the playoffs in the weak Eastern Conference, it's a "no win" for Lin or the Rockets.

Morey would have to be a complete idiot to give up Lin for Felton. Who would cover for Harden and Bev (or Rondo, if they get him for Lin/Asik + whatever else the Celts demand) when they get hurt again? Brooks? Guess we'll just have to "wait & see" what Morey has going in a couple of days . . .

right now it's being reported that Boston wants Asik/Lin and a 1st for Rondo.

Morey would tell him to eat a bag of dicks.....

Rockets slapped the tits off the Lakers last night for their 8th win in a row.

I LOVED watching Dwight feed off the Laker Fans boo's...

he used it as motivation to show Kaman that he was treating him like a child...

Rockets 37-17 - playing the Warriors tonight

What else were they supposed to do? The Lakers had zero starters on the court (No Kobe, Gasol, Nash, Henry, etc), and their starting point guard was playing in the D-League 5 months ago.

Let's be honest, beating the Lakers right now isn't something noteworthy or special.

which is why the Rockets were up by 39 points at one time...

our starters all scored in double figures and only 2 played more than 30 minutes.

the longest one of our starters was on the floor was 32 minutes by James Harden, which got 29 points in 32 minutes

We'll Lob City taxed Houston's ass twice this year. Next game is the 26th. Let's see if Houston can finally win one or we might just go 3-0.

Pacers just dealt Granger for Evan Turner.

That is a substantial upgrade. A former 2nd overall pick averaging 18 a game for an injury-prone veteran averaging 6 off the bench. Sixers are in complete rebuild mode now.

Makes 0 sense unless the 76ers are in tank mode (which they appear to be) and don't consider Turner as part of those rebuilding plans.
