I don't think Sai would be anywhere close. The Ferrari really isnt a fast car - it's natural tendency appears often to be understeer and Sai likes that. Sai would be in a world of hurt trying to drive the RB20. To be fair, most anyone on the grid would struggle to be anywhere near Max in that car or any car since Max can get in a drive whatever he gets (over/understeer) and maximize it whereas others can only drive a car that is set up a certain way.

Well mate , I don't think so . Because MAX ran the QF with a big (high downforce package) with the big spoon wing in the rain to get more grip in the rain with the Inters.
That's why MAX ran the pole ..
And Mercedes ran the QF with a race setup (less of downforce)
It was Red Bull's target to get MAX on pole with a big wing package, knowing MAX would get a P10 grid penalty with his 5th new Honda PU.

Checo ?
Ohhhh ....C'mon man ! Checo s@cked as usual , he was P2 at the startgrid. He lost it completely and finished P8 (!)
SPA was Checo's last chance .SPA was/is Checo's exit (!)
According to the latest : After the summer break ,Checo will be replaced by RIC ...

Could it be any clearer ? => https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=364

Correct - Max ran a more wet oriented setup which paid off in the rain but doesnt quite help in the dry and actually is a huge disadvantage in the dry. This was the best way to get pole and start from the best possible spot and we saw that he put in a lap where no one else was even in contention. It was a calculated risk knowing that Max could make up quite a lot even with a suboptimal setup. If he had run a more dry oriented setup I think he would have qualified 1st but the margin might have only been 2-3 tenths instead of 6-7 tenths. Might have been better to run dry but there was also a good chance of rain Sunday so it's always mitigating the risk.

Apparently the dutch Telegraaf reported that Horner told the RB employees that Checo stays as 2nd driver.

Today, I feel like a Ferrari fan.

Red Bull Racing is a joke.

They've lost me as a fan with that shitty decision, Perez has been costing them millions in development and important points, and they're keeping him instead of sticking literally anybody else who would do better.

He will never drive for RBR.

He's a Honda driver and Honda is leaving in 2026.

It would have been Dany Ric for half the season, Lawson in the VCARB.

But since they decided to keep perez....

Well, if Red Bull lose the Constructors' this year, you'll know why.

I thought the logic of at least swapping Danny Ric and Perez was pretty strong. Even promoting Danny Ric and putting Liam Lawson in the vacated Alpha Tauri seat seemed sound.

The organization seems to seesaw between ruthless (Gasly, Albon, and de Vries) and inexplicably forgiving (Checo).

Ridiculous distinction. The best driver should get the seat.

You call it ridiculous, but RBR just kept Perez so my theory isnt so ridiculous.

If Yuki was so good, he would be in that seat but here we are.

But Yuki IS good, we all can see it. His lack of getting the seat isn't based on merit.
