Over here Costco trade and executive members can get in from 9.30 am to avoid the individual members who are let in at 11am.

I make it in to work this morning with the plan of conducting a forklift operator training, then boom and scissor lift training; it got canceled as the new maintenance employee called out. After getting here at 6:00 a.m., I notice all the office employees vehicles are already here, they normally arrive between 7:30-8:30 a.m. They were called in at 5:30 a.m. to help run production as only 2 of our temps showed up for work today. The receptionist, receiving/procurement lady and HR, all on the floor doing production work. Everyone in the office except for me. My job duties require me to be available in the event that all hell breaks lose. Needless to say, I do not have the respect of my peers this morning.

Good day/Bad day scenario. Good day as it's Friday, it's been one hell of a week between work/home and it's almost finally over, not to mention my all day training class was canceled. Bad day as all the women in the office are pissed that they had to work production today while I sit in office. They'll be upset with me, until one day next week when they need something. Happy Friday ya'll.

Funny you say that. While they were all on the production floor, I went to Bojangles and got the entire plant biscuits for breakfast.

I've been buying bagels for the staff for years. I'm the only one that does it. I think it helps morale

We used to bring a box of donuts to the shop 2 or 3 times a week. I was always amused when it got down to the last donut. Then the last half a donut. Then the last 1/4 of a donut...

My auto body guys aren’t picky. We have a Shipleys donuts near me and they love it. I bring them once a week. It doesn’t take much to keep autobody guys happy. Give them a dirty shop, some bondo and donuts and they’re good….

All kidding aside I pride myself of keeping morale at the highest level. My guys are a dying breed, no one wants to do this craft anymore so I need to keep everyone of them well paid and in high spirits. We do food trucks, donuts, booze cruises…anything to make sure they don’t stray to the competitors

Accepted a job offer today that’s roughly 30% more than what I was getting at my previous job! Hoping the work environment is equivalent as well (perhaps even better).

Got to hold a Springfield 1903 (3 notches) and a 1903-Mach 1. Both appear to have seen action In WWII. Beautiful condition, almost no pitting of barrel or bolt. Sites all move freely.

Was speaking to Records, they are taking a box of old HDs to be destroyed for me when they destroy about 80 guns. UNFORTUNATELY those will include the 1903s above

I came up with as many ideas as I could in the short period I got to hold them.

The records tech TRIED to get the family to take them to a local gun shop. Told them just walk in and say you want to sell. They will hand you a couple grand right then and there. Family wanted nothing to do with them

Can't you hold onto them, sell them at auction, and $$ go to the Police Explorers? Donate them to the local Maritime museum?

Apparently, if they were EVER to be used in a crime in the future, and the PD had possession of them at some point, guess who is liable for the crime. . .

It's a shame that due to current laws, pieces of history will be destroyed. Just hard to digest.
