pain killers for the tattoos?

Nice DoF, i like that her body is out of focus, but still very recognizable.

nice thing about those is that they can be rotated up into the nose out of sight

it's a dry run for a "vices" themed shoot i'm doing at the end of the month. and thanks. i feel like there's more visual impact at f/2 for that shot than there is at f/8. she's really comfortable in front of the camera, so i sit her down when i want to experiment.

I've been down the tattooed road, depends on the art that is there. some of it is absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to look at, some of it is a bit off putting.

I've woken up to someones back towards me, only to have a skull in my face.... that was a bit weird, but it was fun before that

I think some of the original floral art in bright colours can be a thing of beauty, but it's not something i would look for on someone i would want raising my children "but Mom has a tattoo, why can't I?"

agreed with above... I have 5 smaller and very meaningful ones on my back and 1 arm... not sleeves by any means but also not so small you couldn't see um. My wife has 1 on her wrist (wants 1 on her side too now) and our thoughts are if they are small enough to be concieled in a professional setting but meaningful enough to want forever then thats cool... just not for the sake of "art". Thats what the walls in the house are for.

agreed. I don't have any because i've never seen anything that i would want to see on myself when i'm 80 years old. I have a hard time seeing dragons, or tiger claws as something i'd appreciate the same 50 years from now

I especially hate when you see women with paw prints on their boobs and they are pushing a stroller.

I fully realize that if my mother were to die young, i would have a hard time with it, and probably think to do something in her memory, but i'd still have a hard time putting the ink to my body. I would probably just find some of the best pictures i have of her and do a frame with several of them in it and put it somewhere i would be able to reflect on her memory once in a while.

If i were in the army or something like that, i might do a piece to represent it and lost friends or something too.

to each their own, and sometimes tatts can be sexy in the right place at the right time

i agree with you mostly. i don't see it as a child-rearing issue though. she isn't doing more than half-sleeves. she got the floral half-sleeve when she was 18 in a single 10 hour sitting and really regrets that. she hates it. her other arm is going to be really awesome, though. no skulls anywhere, haha. it won't be done until december though.

she has a neck, those half sleeves, and both feet/one ankle. she probably won't do too much more. but she can pretty easily cover them up in a professional setting, she has to for work.

I'd be fine with a wife with a couple tasteful ones, but like you said, they need to be able to be confined for professional use.

but again, i really have no say, only a preference, their bodies, their choices.

Clarification: Too many tats...and depends on a lot of other factors as well. I happen to know PLENTY of girls that like them in moderation of course.
