I have zero idea what MA guns laws are. Does it have to look different to be legal there? And does HK offer parts to change the look or function? Got me.

Only HK I ever owned was an MP5 with a registered sear. And I wish I'd never sold it. Might get another one even at $40K.

Well the SBRing it is a coin flip, it’s legal in stock form, if I did a UMP conversion there are no 10rd mags so I’d have to maybe find a blocked mag otherwise stick with the ugly USC stock. Shop that had the USC for sale had an MP5 for sale too for $6000

Had to be a semi-auto MP5 for that price. Nothing wrong with that either. Mine was rock solid and dependable. Never jammed and I used a variety of mags and ammo. Just kept working.

I own a Zenith version of the MP5 and it isn't as reliable. Could be the mags I'm too lazy to do proper trouble shooting to figure it out. I'll get around to it some day.

Thought I'd share a recent experience with Glock.

I've had a Gen 2 G19(build year 1989) passed down through my family and get it's fair share of use and abuse. Recently the polymer frame has become brittle and started to crack and chip off at the magazine well and at the base of the slide. I called up Glock to see if they could repair something like this and was told about their lifetime warranty. I sent it in and was informed that they would be replacing the frame with a brand new Gen4 under warranty. After a few days I received another call and was told that the slide and barrel were having compatibility issues with the new frame and for $100 they would just replace the whole thing with a brand new gen 4. Even getting a free upgrade to a FDE frame. Very impressed that they are warrantying a firearm that's older than I am.

Thats awesome, gun companies tend to be very appreciative of their customers.

I was offered a job with them (formerly know as STI Guns). I did a tour of their facility. All their pistol are hand fitted and all their parts (but the barrels) are made in house, even the coating. Their coating process is pretty freaking neat. The attention to detail into fitting their parts are pretty strict. They have very good QA controls in place.

Now knowing their operation side of their business and what it cost of per gun, I don't think they are worth it. They are after a specific clientele beside law enforcement. They do make quality parts and they are mostly CNC parts but they used to make race guns and that went out the window because some internal issues. I have owned a few of their race guns and shot all their current line up. The only benefit they have is that you can get a double stack magazine but those magazine aren't cheap and usually need tuning.

No clue if it’s worth $2k. My girlfriend bought it for me. With the mil/le discount the gun was $1700.
Fit and finish are great. Coworkers and I put 1000 rounds through it on Monday with no issues. Other than looking prettier, it doesn’t do anything more than my $398 Glocks. I buy two Glocks a year at blue label pricing. My gf buys me one fancy gun a year. This was for Christmas 2019. She’s buying me a .308 rifle this year.

Magazines are cheaper (lol) through the mil/le program. No issues with the new style mags.
But I used to buy HK magazines back in the day so I’m used to it.

Sadly it’s not like the old days when I could buy magazines directly from Glock for $10 each.

i've been procrastinating about getting a firearm for like a year now. I can wait no longer.

I need/want a shotgun, and hand gun. I guess the most basic question is, how do i know which is "right" for me? I'm honestly infatuated with the looks of some of these weapons, and would buy one just for looks. lol

For my wife I got a 5 shot hammerless .357 magnum that she shoots .38sp. I also got her a 20ga junior shotgun because she is scared to death to shoot the 12ga.

Most Glocks are $398.20 at blue label distributors. It’s $425 at dealers.
That’s for like the 17/22/31/19/23/32/26/27/33 etc. the plain basic models.
The .45/10mm are more. The long slides are more. The 42/43/48 are cheaper.

Go to their website and look up a blue label dealer/distributor near your zip.

$26.80 off? That seems meager.

Sorry if you've seen this post before, but I decided to take a slightly better pic.

Just picked all this stuff up, plus an Idaho CCW permit, which is tied at #1 maximum reciprocity at 39 states 😎 So glad I moved out of The People's Republic of Commiefornia!

Right: Walther PPK .380. Yes, I'm a Bond fan, plus I wanted a concealable gun.

Center: H&K USP .45 Tactical. It was love at first sight when I first shot it as a range rental, bought a USP .45 non-Tactical (because CA 🙄 ), sold it (long story), regretted that decision and kicked myself for 9 years, so I'll let this be an upgrade.

Left (where else)?: What keeps everything going, what makes shooting fun; the louder, the better. 😭REEEE!!!😭

Where are you located? Depends on your experience with firearms. Purpose. Etc.

It's similar to buying a car for the first time. You can't just tell people you want to buy a car. Need more details. Hope the comparison makes it easier to understand what details are needed so we can help out.

If you're in Texas then I can help you out personally. Located in Austin.

Glock lists it as $398.20. Some dealers can charge up to $425 for blue label guns. I buy from a big distributor so I always get the cheapest price. and in the old days the blue label glocks came with 3 mags. retail was two. buy with the gen5 guns i think most glocks come with 3 mags now?

I have no idea what retail prices for Glocks are. (white label, red label, purple label, etc)

The blue label dealer is 20 minutes away and charges $425. The distributor is 45 minutes away but I make the trip once a year to buy two Glocks at once.

My first blue label Glock was in 1998 and it was $398.20. I bought a Glock 45 last year for $398.20 and a Glock 43X for $358. Next time I'm near a regular gun store, I will see what they retail for.

Not sure what two guns I want to buy this year.

Departmental purchases are even cheaper.

I checked on the Glock site and the cheapest retail is the Gen 3 for $499, so $425 is a lot off. Thanks!
