Most repairs will be at a VPC, I'm just assuming a handful of techs per VPC. Maybe it's higher, maybe it's lower.

Point is, we're talking multiple weeks to get them all fixed...once a fix is available.

I just called BMW NA and opened a case. I will receive a call from a case manager no later than Thursday, 7/28/16.

Now we wait.

What does BMW do?

It fixes cars during building and after delivering.

Are u implying that I if I reorder my car today, I will have a better chance in getting it early versus waiting for my current build stuck at the factory!! That can't be right

Look at his post count and look at his rep rating...
I'll reserve judgement.

Hey. I saw your post on the other thread about the Welt info email. Since you already emailed them I'm not going too. We will be there tomorrow anyway. Let me know what their response is if you hear anything. Thanks.

I'm really trying not to get completely red faced mad over this mess it's very difficult!

ED NA got back to me very quickly. She confirmed that they notified BMW AG that I am still going through with Euro "presentation" and said she would also follow-up to make sure I am seeing my car.

Welt did not reply as yet.

Keep us informed!

Just got off the phone with customer relations. Basically they got my info and a service specialist will call me back within three days.
I urge everyone to call and complain as well. The more complaints they get, the more likely they are to do something for us.

Same situation here.

UPDATE: I've spoken to my SA twice today. She advised that the shop manager has spoken to BMW NA and confirmed that it is a noise issue and not a safety concern (I told them when I dropped it off if it was just a noise issue, I'm taking the car back if possible).

My car is able to be released from the dealer and we will be notified when there is a fix. I don't know what this means for anyone who hasn't received their car yet, but for those that have been driving them in the states, it's good news.

Just spoke to my CA
-not allowed to take delivery (nothing new here)
-without a delivery date, he can not send out contract
-to avoid losing July lease rates, submitted a new credit app. Good for 90 days (west coast)

Waiting for a call back from customer relations supervisor.

Everyone call!

I picked up my M3 at the Welt on Friday 7/15 and they let me take it. From what I am reading it wasn't too long after this that ED customers weren't allowed to leave with their cars. I feel very fortunate it didn't ruin my ED experience and 10 days in Europe.

I dropped of the car in Zurich on Friday 7/22 after almost 1,000 miles. It will be interesting to see how long this situation delays my re-delivery.

I did call genius today and my car is affected, my build date was 6/28

My M3 is a DCT ZCP car, and I didn't notice any strange diff sounds yet.

I am very sorry for all ED customers who couldn't (or won't be allowed to) leave with their cars.

Hang in their guys!
