Dubstep Thread

There are hundreds of remixes of this song but I don't think anyone has done justice to it as much as Basenectar. To me, a good remix should keep the spirit of original tune and not overpower it. Unfortunately, most Dubstep mixes these days have become showcases for the DJ's or producers' ego. You can hardly tell what the original tune is unless you here a piece of vocal or a rift/ melody here and there.

You're absolutely right about a lot of "dubstep" mixes out there. People go overboard with the effects and bass that the whole rhythm and melody of the song is lost, and you're just left with annoying noises.

Need more like this!

I don't like the overly "dirty" noisy dubstep, I like stuff like this. Tracks that keep the rhythm of the song instead of just being random noises...

It's funny ...I was just about to post a reply to the effect that, "If you like that tune, you really need to check Stephan Jacob's mix version of it" and then I realized that's what you had posted in the first place

Yeah, Stephane is a guy who's making lost of noises lately and he's an El Lay dude and this song had already been "Favorited" by yours truly before among other things along the same genre and more

My sentiments exactly ....Sick mix of a so so song by a disposable pop artist. The vocals could be by Dolly Parton for all I care and it would still be worth listening. Kudos to Jacob Plant.
