Clockwise Paul Ricard near Marseille doesn't look bad also if they get rid of the Montreal chicane.

Paul Ricard needs some nice big gravel traps, might be interesting then.

Those generous run off to slow up areas are quite generous as to make me dizzy with their hypnotic stripes

Yes, this last weekend was massively bad for spectators. And for those that didn’t win. But if the expectation is that all 24 races in 20(?) countries will be the greatest show on earth, we’re mismanaging our expectations.

According to Corriere Italy, Flavio Briatore is making a notable return to Formula 1, invited by Renault’s president, Luca de Meo, to help lift the struggling Alpine team.
Known for leading Renault to two World Championships in 2005 and 2006 with Fernando Alonso, Briatore’s career in F1 was marred by the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix scandal, leading to his temporary ban from the sport.
Despite his exit, Briatore has stayed connected to F1 through his business ventures and friendships with key figures like Bernie Ecclestone.
Alpine has struggled recently, with limited success and internal conflicts, such as a recent clash between drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
Briatore’s current role involves overseeing team improvements and trying to attract top talent, including aerodynamicist David Sanchez from Ferrari and McLaren.
However, assembling a competitive team is challenging, and Briatore’s involvement may be short-term if significant progress isn’t made by 2026.

I think we need to add $3Million to his costs of crash damage .
So that makes $5,450,000.

No doubt , Checo is the absolute winner !
And he's not done yet ...

I would say Renault have left it too long and are now desperate and in a quandary, his first suggestion should be to get rid of Ocon ASAP and the job would be much easier.

Demolition derby winner most times.. I read that some upgrades won't be possible now because of the huge shark bite in the budget. Even though it wasn't Checo's fault someone sharp like Lawson would probably has sensed that coming and with a quick reaction just pekin moved over a bit.

The RB20 upgrades were already developed and manufactured according to plan during the winter break .
The situation is , they can't use them on a car with setup issues . First the setup isues should be sorted and then they can bring the new upgrades on.
But Checo's new car can be used as a test-mule ...

RB requested MAX to be extra carefull at Montreal , because spare parts will be used to build Checo's new car.
Of course a totaled RB20 and PU really s@cks for the RB budget cap .

As you said the Montreal track could s ucks also for MAX as it's a lot of bldy kerbs again on the fast curves, another very old and stagnated design track, why do they add these kerbs so much.

Agreed, replace curbs with grass or sand and they won't venture out there. It would also eliminate the whole "Exceeding track limits" issue.

FIA just want to bunch everyone up within the track limits and collect fines when kerb limits are exceeded.

Negative mate .

MAX's right-rear brake caught fire that's why he DNF in Australia . In Miami he hit a bollard and damaged his floor .

MAX has not crashed yet in this season ...

Just doing the math on the totals posted. I saw 2.1 million for the Monaco rebuild. That leaves about 350k in other stuff like his Imola front wing issue. Under the 450k listed for Max.
