Great drive for Piastri and well deserved win. Ferrari shot themselves in the foot here, Charles was building a sizeable gap at the end of the first stint and it just evaporated coming out of the tire change. If he wasn’t in P2 for 30+ laps, I have a feeling he would have ran away from Piastri in the second stint as well.

It certainly looks like it’ll be McClaren, Ferrari and then RB at year’s end.

On a side note, Checo continues to pad his lead in the World Destructor’s Championship. I’ll be interested in the updated numbers as it’s been said repeatedly how RB’s budget is being torpedoed by his constant accidents.

Can't say it enough ..The clock is ticking for the Red Bull Team .

So far the Papaya car is unbeatable , and the speed and pace of the Ferrari surprised me too .
MAX got a jumping rear axle + balance and brake issues (!) WTF is going on .
Won't speak about Singapore . But COTA can be a hit or a miss ...

It wasn’t!!!
All Carlos had to do was fall in right behind Charlie and all would have been well.

Carlos is usually a pretty good racer but that was stupid. Probably a consequence of Ferrari dumping him for hammy. Not much more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose!

From the 2 or 3 replays and Sainz’s onboard they showed during the VSC, I’d agree the majority fault is Carlos as it looks like he was very slightly veering to the left, even though he was ahead. That attack on Charles after turn 1 wasn’t necessary and left him in that position to tussle with Checo and was very costly for the WCC.

There could’ve been 2 Ferraris on the podium today and, I think, Charles on the top step. I have to rewatch the end of the first stint to see how a 5+ second gap just vanished because of the pit stop. They did talk about the possibility that he wanted to ease in the new hards but track position is more important.

WTF !! That looked deliberate from Sainz just steering sharply into Checo, a sudden lunatic steer. FIA need to do something sharp and harsh with Sainz for that.
