Light covering of snow for the morning which all but melted later and now light freezing rain so not a good day.

Pineapple Express is heading our way, possibly arriving Thursday night. Will melt any remaining snow in local mountains, and combining snow melt with 2-4" rain we could have some more gully washers.
Heading home to make sure grass gets a nice round of fertilizer

It's early spring here in SW Ohio and, generally, morning temps range from the high-20s to the low-40s and daily highs from the high-40s to, occasionally, the low-70s. Precipitation is also quite variable.

Because of the warm weather we've recently had (off and on), early-season flowers are in full bloom and early-season trees are exploding with blooms and leafing-out with striking color.

This is a very nice time of year here.

I've posted it before in this thread, but our winters are generally quite temperate and were so this year until a couple of weeks ago -- now it's constant snow: not much, just enough to be annoying. And daytime temps up around 40 melt it a bit and then it all keeps repeating. I'd much rather have one good snowstorm and be done with it rather than this. Oh, well, I suppose spring will come sooner or later. Please.

It's getting dark. Flood warnings have been issued. I think the Great Genie in the Sky is about to unbutton his fly and urinate on California.

Another Friday snowstorm coming through right now. Only expecting 10-15cm (4-6") but it's quite windy and visibility is poor. It seems like every storm happens on a Friday this winter.

I forgot to put out my rain bucket, but judging by street volumes I'd say we've had about an inch overnight. Now periods of heavier rain, but nothing dramatic.

Makes for fun puddle splashing in the new Taco!

Big storm in California. Nearly 10,000 people are under evacuation orders.

Not where I live, though. About a half an inch expected here in the next 24 hours.

Just for fun I put a bowl on the outdoor kitchen counter Thursday night. This was taken Friday morning before heading off to work. It's not rain gauge, of course, but that's an impressive amount of water for one night. No wonder the levee failed in Watsonville. Feeling for the people in Pajaro; it's going to be a while before they get back to normal. Especially with more on the way Monday.

BTW, it hasn't ended. As of this morning that bowl is just about full.

Very windy all night and sporadic rain but it's turned warmer, sure glad those gutters were changed.

Not looking good for the rest of the week. I hope it doesn't impact my travel plans Saturday to sunny Cuba.

Finally a return to Oregon weather -- cool and rainy. We still have dirty snow berms that haven't completely melted. Puh-leese, weather gods, no more snow!

Sympathies to the Californians. Stay safe and dry. I think my daughter in Mammoth Lakes is *still* getting beaucoup snow!

More pineapples heading my way. Talking 1.5-3" Tuesday/Wednesday. This one might include some 30-50MPH winds too.

Yep. Setting up the pump today for the backyard. We probably won't get the winds, though.

We're definitely in our 'you pick it' part of the year. Personally, I favor the warm and sunny days.
