i might be an idiot, or just sound like a city boy right now, but how does a dock sink??? shouldnt there be like barrells or something to float it, so as the water rises so does the dock???

they're usually anchored to the bottom. Water gets too high, they can't float up any more.

We have it all here....Pools, Lake, Tennis, Volley Ball, Stables...Airstrip for horse and 4 wheelers.

ohh good to know, see i just learned something, but wouldnt it be better to anchor them to something on the main land, with a pulley system to adjust rope length to compensate for the change in water level..

Im from the north..from the mts...I miss snow..I HATE this flat land area...I hate Hurricanes...I hate humidity..I love hills....Plus I hate ******s

they would sway side to side too much. You kind want the dock to be relatively firm / stable to dock a boat. You also don't want a bunch of guy lines to hold it place, can't dock the boat then either.

B-More Baby!!! 15 years in Baltimore, Maryland. I was born in New Orleans..my Mom moved us up north when I was 1... Stayed there til 9/11 moved to Florida for a year moved down in 2003 back to LA...only to get hit by Katrina in 2005 lol...Disaster follows
