Most people are either hoping or guessing unless they have inside information which is most likely why 90% will fail unless of course it is like you said to where one basically bought after a crash and the market went on a bull run after.

Richpuer,

If you don't mind me asking, what was your career path like up until running a HF? I only ask because I have similar aspirations one day (work in I-Bank now). You'd could PM me if you don't want to share publicly, always nice to hear success stories, proves inspirational.

LVS green again today Up yesterday and up today again. A tug between the bears and bulls today. Call options really paid off well for those bought in 2-3 days ago on the dip.

I like LVS more. Has more potential than WYNN in my opinion. Macau and Singapore doing well for LVS. Also Chinese New Years is coming up and next quarter earnings will have Singapore's full quarter earnings which should help boost the stock price. If all goes well I expect LVS to hit $80 before June of next year.

agree, I have have been in since 10-14-10

Regarding SEC day-trading rules- as long as you have the 25k minimum they will leave you alone. A few years ago when I was day trading I had a very small account and could only trade until my day trading buying power went to zero for that day or it was reset. I would say its >95% where day traders end up with nothing in the long run or get wiped out due to improper position sizing compared to account size.

Ha! By no means do I think I have the skills to quit my job and do this full time. It's just nice extra money. When I said it makes you think, I just meant it's so funny that you work hard and long hours at work and the right trade can make you more so much more easily.

I'd say more like 98% fail. This has been a relatively easy market to navigate as of late. I know a guy that worked for George Soros and developed automated trading software (prob that smartest guy I know) and he is always preaching how difficult and how shitty of a lifestyle it can be doing it full time.

i personally love Financials

Risky yes.. but overall good
and profit is great

not really great for long term... don't hold it for more than a day or 2, maybe a week?

I'm playing with foreign banks, specifically NBG

NBG actually just helped pay for my cosmetic mods this week...

Nationl bank of greece?? I'll have to check it.

Ive been on EEE and URRE for now. Made a killing of 300% with EEE but figured it was a one time run, im nervous to go back in as that is against my old method of being emotionally attached to a stock

To health and new money
