Related, what does it take to cite a vehicle for CVC 5204??? I'm constantly calling CHP(they service my hood for traffic) and letting them know about "abandoned" vehicles with no current registration stickers

It can be one day expired and I can still cite for expired tags (...well, that's often the case anyway; enforcement typically applies to the beginning of the month following expiration), although I personally wouldn't unless it's 30+ days expired.

Funny you mentioned that. A partner of mine caught somebody doing something similar a few weeks ago. He had the car towed because of how long the registration had been expired.

My oldest got 2 hours of detention today. The kid had ran off to the library in the middle of the school day.

"We caught her sneaking off the school grounds and when she was given a note for it with the punishment, she said she'll be at the library if anyone needs her."

I called the little punk since the teacher called me.

"Well I already got the maximum penalty, why the hell not commit the crime to the full extent then?"

I called the teacher back and told her that i cant argue against the logic and that in 2.5 years theyll be rid of the little shit.

Most of the newer patrol cars have radios and navigation, but the radios were removed from older vehicles to keep officers focused. There's probably some policy about it buried somewhere, but I'm unaware of it. Rarely does anybody listen to it.

I can't really say what I would've or could've done that would've changed the outcome, but I'll tell you this much....


...if a criminal is shooting at me, I'm shooting back....backdrop and beyond considered of course. That situation was ugly and there really was no other alternative but to end the threat when the chase terminated. It was very unfortunate. It's one of those situations where everybody involved will reflect on their individual involvement and wonder what they could've done differently/better to potentially save the lives of the innocent.

Given the stupidity of the elected turnips in Sacramento, I'd be afraid to bring this topic up so they don't take away your guns and patrol cars!

Seriously though, how will you handle a similar situation in the future, when you are only equipped with an environmentally-friendly can of unicorn repellent spray and your patrol vehicle is a solar-powered Bird scooter? The TV ratings for news chopper police chases will surely suffer.....

She said to tell you that you are awesome!

And wished more parents seen things that way instead of immediately blaming the teacher.

I'm the child of two high school teachers. Anytime I pulled any shit at school, which was pretty rare, they were on me like a wet dress on a fat girl.

On a good day, around 450 lbs. for a rep or two; deadlift at 500 lbs. for three reps. Not too bad for my 5'10, 190 lb. frame. Are you still lifting these days?

I was "training" for Santa2theSea which was this morning so haven't done a leg day in months. Still try to get in 4 lifts a week
