So just saw some race pace info on the first 2 stints. Fastest to slowest of the top 3.

Nor - 0
Ham - .009
Max .346

The Max factor is real.

This may be an even better WDC win for Max in 2024 given it looks like over the full season he will on avg have the 3rd fastest car. Obviously he beat down Ham and MB in 2021 with a slower can with better race craft and it appears he may do the same in 2024 with an even slower car. How many WDC winners have won 1 WDC in a slower car, let alone 2?

It's crazy how even though at 17 seconds Ham leaves the track (again) to gain an advantage on the straight (as he so often does), Max still much better on the brakes and through the corner with a move not many others would have attempted and Max pulls it off like no other. If the other way Ham probably locks up and goes straight through like he did in Baku.

Yeah . And here we go again , LEW ran 29 times off track in one race (!) A F1 record !

The whole 'fastest car' verification thing should be taken into consideration in such a way as to take in who is driving as part of the 'who has the fastest car '.
For instance Coulthard could do his maths more in saying who has the fastest car overall .

Mercedes and McLaren got good working upgrades and that made their cars faster in QF and race .

The RB20 has setup issues from the beginning of this season .
The RB20 got a new floor upgrade in Silverstone , but that looked like a downgrade .

In the last 7 races , Mercedes ran 2 poles and 2 race wins .
Lando Norris ran 6 podiums , one pole and one race win in the last 8 races.
Charlie ran the pole at Monaco and won the race .

So far , The RB20 is not the dominant car anymore. Things are changed...
But the MAX-Factor is real (!)

Yes, and we know Max as a driver with worth 2-3 tenths per lap in any car that no other driver is. The Mclaren and the MB were both faster on Sat and Sun yet Max's driving put the RB in contention - his ability to drive the car so smoothly across the friction circle is something you cant really teach. His car was almost undriveable in the way it was setup for the dry yet you'd hardly know it the way he reeled in Ham and Nor at the end of the inters stint. That is truly a guy who transcends the sport and raises it to a level know one ever has because he's just a raw talent that is special in how he goes about it; think of the likes of Michael Jordan in basketball, Mickey Mantel in baseball, or Djokovic/Federer in tennis, Tom Brady in football. Simply someone who is better than all those who came before and yet he is still growing at not even hit his high water mark.

It would be interested to see F1 move to spec cars...I think Max would dominate even more than his record and best F1 seasons ever we saw in 2021, 2022, and 2023. How you even have 3 record breaking seasons in a row, and knowing his car was slower in 2021, and slower in the first half of 2022 is a level I'm not even sure the GOAT Schumacher ever did - at least not that I can remember.

Again, Verstappen and McLaren had faster cars than Mercedes.

They don't, I posted the lap times - Verstappen and McLaren definitely have the fastest cars, in that order.
