Stale sourdough
Had some week old sourdough bread. Cut it into cubes for croutons and fried it in olive oil. Sprinkle with a little salt. They never usually make it to a salad.

Came home yesterday to a week-old baguette.
EVOO, Italian seasonings, garlic powder and pepper. Will be using some later for my French onion soup. |

chassis I can't thank you enough for this delightful recipe. Easy to make and with so many variations, you can't go wrong. A nice switch for the usual potato salad, coleslaw etc...

Looks great! Tabbouleh and its regional relative, the Croatian-inspired "Korčula" salad are great ways to use fresh veggies with a common theme of parsley, tomatoes, EVOO and lemon juice.
Those four items are the foundation and others can join the party to make many great salad variations. I had Korčula salad today for lunch with grilled flatbread, another foundational salad pairing. |

Morning buns in the afternoon. Croissant dough, cinnamon sugar and orange zest. The whole house smells like cinnamon orange.
