Yes. Not so much at my company, but at all airlines and airports overall. I haven't had any issues on my flights, though.

Things are getting busy again. Flights are full. AFAIK, we aren't selling booze on the planes yet which may make some people angry. Every airline and airport still has mask mandates and I bet that contributes to the angriness of some people.

People are wound up and tired of being cooped up.

<cue Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" in the background as you cruise the streets in a convertible Chrysler Sebring rental on a poon hunt>

….the song is fitting, literally and figuratively.

When off duty (ie driving your own vehicle) ever see someone driving like an asshat and you reach for the switch but realize you’re not in your cruiser?

Funny you mentioned this. I told a story on this thread recently of the guy driving on the freeway with no headlights. I was in my POV and I needed to address the issue. It is fairly common for me to observe things and get antsy because I don't have a PA in my car to yell at them. Lol!

I have a question that may have been asked before, but I don't want to go through 150+ pages. Radar jammers. What happens when you try and tag someone and it gets jammed? I'm assuming you immediately know what's happening, so what do you do?

They are illegal in California and I don't run across them much at all. With that said, I use LIDAR. If for whatever reason the speed is coming back weird or I'm getting some other malfunction, my visual estimation is enough. Training requirements mandate that I can visually estimate speed +/- 5 MPH. I can do that accurately allllllll day long.

Thanks for the detailed response! I've never owned one, but I've seen people post about them on here. Expensive price to pay just to piss the officer off and get a ticket anyway lol

FYI, a few winters back my brother & brother in law both had strokes in the same week (strangely, my mom died the within 8 days). We pulled the plug on my bro after not too long, but my bro-in-law is still with us, a schizophrenic, wheelchair bound, paralyzed on one whole side. Even though he is a schizophrenic, he is very intelligent, and is always bucking for a better living situation. My wife & I are his primary care givers, and have explored these living options with him, with the care agencies, friends & acquaintances, & on the innernet.

Now pls return to your obligatory ignorant character slander of Littlebear....

You and your family suffered a terrible tragedy. You and your wife are doing a decent and noble thing and I am sure your brother in law is grateful for that.

That doesn't change the fact that you can be a bit of a dick to people on this forum. The two are not mutually exclusive.

The confusing thing is that one would think that this much suffering would cause a person to be more compassionate, and not bitter. I get it, he doesn't like cops, but then you, Sedan, and the others here in that profession, certainly address the human side of being a cop. Undoubtedly there are bad cops, but then every profession has bad actors. The big question remains; why bring bitterness to a forum?

That's pretty fucked up. Sorry. I can't imagine what a difficult time that must have been for you.

Let's go back to the beginning of this present disagreement.
Clan made some very questionable assertions about minorities wanting to live in ghettos. He generalized that to homeless people.
I put out counter assertions that were way less questionable than those Clan put out, with backup.
As usual, Clan went into character assassination mode, with really sad supporting arguments.
I counter with learned opinion & facts. Not bitterness, but the truth.

Have a good day!
