Pretty much another dud storm here. Maybe 3" of slushy snow, mostly melted now. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I'll take a dud storm over a blizzard any day.

Got sent home at 3pm, oh well. Roads were garbage with ice under the snow and unplowed drifts all over the country roads. The 2 series front bumper aero stuff was starting to plow a bit when I hit my residential street and driveway. So, what's that, 4 inches?

Supposed to get 1cm an hour after that until midnight.

Almost non stop sirens as I was shoveling the driveway, lots of accidents out there, or they got stuck in traffic.

It snowed from about 7am to 7pm yesterday, but had been very warm leading up to it. So maybe 2" stuck? Roads were warm enough they just stayed wet, never froze, even overnight. It's almost all melted today as it's been sunny and in the 40s.

Fine by me, I can pass on snow and cold weather. I'd move north if I wanted that.

I live in South, South Florida (South of Miami). Weather is actually pretty nice this time of year. 60-80 usually. Too bad it's usually too windy to fly.
Grew up in NJ and got the F*CK out of that SH!T HOLE by joining the Air Force. Last assignment was Homestead AFB and I just stayed after I got out.

We had some white stuff come down yesterday but it wasn't as much as they were predicting. Maybe 6-8 inches in total. But the snow was really heavy. The trees looked beautiful.

All that snow reminds me of the biggest storms we experienced in New Hampshire, with snow stuck to the sides of the house and some really big and deep drifts. Those storms were fun for a number of years, but at this age I don't miss them. A big storm here is 8", and I'm lovin' it.
Wow, 2 feet? I don't remember the last time we got that much snow. Maybe in 2011?

All we got out here yesterday was maybe 3''~ of snow roughly give or take.

More snow Saturday. Forcast calling for 3''-6''.

Bright, sunny day (looking thru the window) IF you can open the door, and not have it ripped out of your hands, there is a stiff wind blowing stuff all over. So far, ground seems to have dried out enough that trees aren't toppling over, lights haven't flickered yet.

Yeah, we had some wind this morning, has stopped now. Pine tree is still standing. Got a mess to clean up.

Just a few centimeters over the evening. The system is moving fast and essentially just streamers off the ocean.

I'll just take my Riesling and go for a soak and then curl-up with a book.

We just had a day and a half of full sun after a few weeks of mostly overcast skies. It's back to gray now, supposed to be 'Mostly Sunny' on Wednesday (fingers crossed), then back to overcast.

This is our 6th winter down here after leaving New Hampshire, and it's by far the grayest it's been. Generally, winters have been ~75% sunny, and that's been great.

This winter reminds me of growing up in San Francisco's Inner Richmond district, where fog could lay-in for extended periods. That was depressing, but I did learn how to do a pretty good rendition of the Golden Gate Bridge's fog horns!
