Finished my “pistol” build last night at work. I already have an 8.5” 300blk suppressed SBR using an AAC 762SDN6 but wanted something a little shorter.

Test fired with supersonic and subsonic. Suppressed and unsuppressed. No issues. Tossed the upper on one of our full auto lowers and did a suppressed mag dump. No issues. Shed a tear or two at the thought of all that expensive ammo.

Palmetto State Armory 7.5” 300blk 1/7 pistol kit. I replaced the included trigger with a straight-bow Larue MBT2S trigger, had some Magpul mbus and SIG Romeo sights collecting dust and stuck my smallest Olight on it. Suppressor is a Sandman-K. It’s not the quietest but it does knock the edge off.

Now to try and get the city to approve 300blk ammo for road use...

The silencer seems only to elongate the shorty gun...

It does. It’s 27” overall collapsed with the silencer. 29.5” extended.
Collapsed it fits in my Wilson tennis racquet case that I use for transport.

It’s about the same size as my 12.5” unsuppressed 5.56 SBR at work.

Was curious to see how much louder suppressed 300BLK is when going from an "intended length" barrel down to something shorter (saw some readily available 6" kits recently). From what I understand, complete powder burn happens at the 9" mark...not sure how much louder it gets when going shorter.

It should be louder on my 8.5 and 7.5 barrels. I have the 9" AAC upper (my first 300blk) and with my AAC 762SDN6, I can tell that the 9" is quieter than the 7.5". My whole intent on the 7.5" and shorter suppressor was to try and make it a reliable work weapon. Going to an active shooter situation with a somewhat suppressed 7.5" 300blk vs. an unsupressed 10.5" 5.56 was my goal.

For your intended purpose, absolutely; that setup sounds like a no brainer.

Was more so curious about the barrel length and SDN comparisson so thanks for sharing that info as well!

Either way, so many great rifle cans out now, it makes it tough to pick...only thing that sucks are the long wait times these days.

My Glock 43

Just picked up the Taran Tactical +3 and liking the feel of it so far, haven't had the chance to test it out

(in case anyone is wondering, the 'battle belt' is not intended for the G43- I use it for my Glock 23/19; just liked how it matched color wise)

Nice, I have a Savage 110 in .338. Great fun to shoot (except for the cost, of course!)

Only way, I save some coin on that beast, is to roll my own ammo.

Really would consider a PDX from Maxim Defense to be my next firearm but Dirty Jerz doesn't allow AR15-style pistols in the state. 🤬

I see a stock, that looks more like a SBR than a pistol to me

You are correct. I guess I missed that since I can't have one in NJ either way.

My lawyer tells a horror story of a guy in NJ getting arrested for possessing an inert hollow point bullet keychain. NJ treats bullets like it's a gun; and hollow points like an illegal gun, so this was a major charge. Nuts.
