Realize its been a couple days - but very sorry to hear. By far one of the hardest things to get through.

Well Gang, after Bella passed in February we were pretty intent on just being a 1 dog family. But after 8 months we realized that none of us were doing well with the loss. Sophie in particular never really bounced back. I swear she aged 5 years in the last 8 months. After a lot of discussion we decided to put some feelers out and see if there were any adoptable dogs that felt like a good fit. We wanted a mutt, and one a little larger than Sophie. Maybe 20 pounds. Preferably an adult so we didn't have to live through puppy craziness.

We pretty much broke all the rules and fell in love with this little 7 month old ball of energy the moment we saw her pathetic "please take me home" face at the local humane society.

We named her Ladybug and she's a total goofball. She's getting along great with Sophie who has suddenly sprung back to life now that she's not the only dog.

Anyone want to wager a guess on her breed mix? She's a puppy still, about 7 months old right now, and 35 pounds.

Good choice. Looks like you've made little Sophie happy.

Haven't been on for a while and saw this. Sorry for your loss. You did the right thing and at least she was able to spend her last days at home with the family she loved and not isolated at the vet.

Good guess, but she's bigger than that. She's 35 pounds and about 7 months old. You're on the right track with the dachshund guess. Long, low, and in the hound group.

We just got her DNA results back. She's an interesting cocktail of breeds!

Red tabby's are the best!

This one is 16 and the last of the five cats we employed when we were living in the country.

Yes! But only 2% lab.

She's basset hound, pitbull, border collie, beagle, chow chow, German shorthair, German shepherd, American Staffordshire terrier, Australian cattle dog, shar-pei, lab, cocker spaniel, and chihuahua.
