That's a good deal for that set, below market value. Who knows, someday it may be worth much more. When the set first dropped it was going for upwards of $2500 for the 8 bottles.

I sold all of mine while the getting was good and made out very well.

I cracked into the bottle. I got it a Total Wine, it was the last one on the shelf.

It is a very complex but well balanced rum. Many of the 'better' aged rums that I have had can seem almost flavored.

I'm really not sure what else to say about it other then, its delightful and I would recommend it.

Bought a Lady Four Roses

Actually, my oldest snagged the glass at a ref appreciation dinner. As I don't drink beer, I figured it would work fine for bourbon

I'm getting bored with P12. Binny's has Balvenie 12 DoubleWood on sale this weekend. Might be time for a change.

Yeah, it's twice the cost of P12, but sometimes you gotta splurge.

I had a Balvenie 12 TripleWood in NZ while I was there for my birthday and it was really nice - but I cannot find it here.

I think you mean Triple Cask. I have a bottle I grabbed while over seas and I also have not seen it in the US at all. My opinion, it is not really that good of an offering and you're much better off dropping another dollar or two to get the 14 Caribbean Cask.

Quite true - TripleCask - I did enjoy it however. I might pick up a 14 Caribbean Cask and try that though - thanks!

Buttermilk pie?? WTF is that an auto correct?

While waiting for the dog to get groomed I strolled thru BevMo and picked up some samples

Rock and Rye- needs a mixer, but that little can with an actual pull tab was cool

Los Rios tequila - like!

Jack Rye -had to make a linchburg lemonade

Diplomatico - I tried over 2 night but had to toss it tonight

If you've never had buttermilk pie, I strongly urge you to try it next time you're at a restaurant and it's on the menu.

I've eyed this off @ First Choice many times, but have finally bought a bottle. It is a typical vanilla/caramel heavy Caribbean rum, which I really like. It has a certain "creaminess" about it which reminds me of Ballantines 12yo scotch. Maybe I just drink too much for my own good.

Had a nice whiskey journey through DC and tried a few new things this week. Also had a small share and pair with some friend from DC and I have to say the Kissing Cousins I brought was the best of the lot!

I have some pecan moonshine from the Appalachian mountains.... it's to die for. Maybe if we ever cross paths I'll have to give you some.

Looks like I'm switching to Tito's vodka b/c gluten free. Not b/c I am going gluten free, just b/c it's obviously healthier than the other vodkas I drink so why not?
