I just watched the rerun.

What a boring race...
Until .... that one wheelnut didn't want to come off

I guess RUS is a deserved winner.....just by being there when VER and NOR touched

We're probably gonna see more wheel to wheel fighting between Max and Lando

I'm not sure if it would have made any difference, the last set of used Mediums were undrivable according to Max so Lando on new Mediums might have been able to make the 7s, he had around 20 laps to do that. But I guess we'll never know.

As I said : I like Lando , but today he was a multiple dive-bomber

The FIA really s@cks !
Norris got a 5 second penalty for going off the track, just around the same time Max was pushing Lando off the track for a second time as he tried to pass after the incident. Yes that’s right Max having hit him once was STILL trying to take him out and not let him pass, what is Max thinking at times is just plain dangerous and a bin unhinged.

We could see a great battle between these two in the final few laps but the crash didn't let that happen and I think both drivers played some part in that crash. It wouldn't be fair to blame only one driver.

That wasn’t the opinion of the 4 international stewards and the points they only gave Max on his Super license.

MAX lost at least 5-6 sec. in the pit by the wheelnut issue and he had to wait for Lando , because Lando just came in to pit .
So , MAX had to wait for Lando before he was released.

MAX could have received a time penalty for an unsafe release...
In the first pit of the race, it was just the same situation when Lando came in just after MAX !
In other words : The Red Bull pit-timing was unlucky today .

If they didn't crashed , Lando could have seen the black flag for him ...

Lando got today 5 warnings for exeeding the track limits .
If that wasn't enough , Lando tried to overtake MAX with a half car and 2 wheels on the grass..

This could have gone terribly wrong (!)

A very interesting read, 4 or 5 key or post F1 players all with fairly similar views most replicating many of the views in here, only an issue for some and some myopic eyesight issues.

I’m taking that as a joke as you can’t be serious either that or you need some serious and genuine help. I wish you well.

Well ... Cheers my friend !

Ohhh no ! Today my boy had a great day.

Lando didn't scored points (too bad) and MAX scored 10 points with his P5
And BTW : Congrats for the Russell boy (it was gift) RUS is no threat for MAX in the WDC rankings .
As you can see

Barcelona 2016: normally either Hamilton or Rosberg would have won the race. They crashed. Verstappen won the race. More power to Verstappen - well done.

Spielberg 2024: normally either Verstappen or Norris would have won the race. They crashed. Russell won the race. More power to Russell - well done.

Silverstone 2021: race stewards declared Hamilton "predominantly at fault" for sending Verstappen into the 4th dimension and awarded a 10-second time penalty that did not affect Hamilton's race result: Hamilton managed to resume the red flagged race (also thanks to team orders given to Bottas, Hamilton managed to even still win the race) - Verstappen couldn't. FIA regs should allow race stewards to impose classification penalties for situations like these (stripping for example multiple track positions in the final race classification, rather than a time penalty or a next race grid penalty).

Spielberg 2024: race stewards declared Verstappen "predominantly at fault" for crashing with Norris and awarded a 10-second time penalty that did not affect Verstappen's race result (he was more than 10 seconds ahead of P6): Verstappen managed to resume the VSC'd race (Verstappen managed to still classify as P5) - Norris couldn't. FIA regs should allow race stewards to impose classification penalties for situations like these (stripping for example multiple track positions in the final race classification, rather than a time penalty or a next race grid penalty).

It came from the McLaren pitwall for Lando (for exeeding the track limits)!
Lando was warned 2 times , later in the race he did it 3 more times ..
That's why he was warned by his own McLaren Team (if it happened again)! Lando could get the black flag ..
Then he tried to overtake MAX on the grass (with a puncture)!
Lando was more than reckless today (!)

I really wonder if you guys really watched the race ..
BTW : Mate , I wish you well too !

I’ve never been a fan of time penalties and drive throughs seem a bit harsh. But I don’t like stewards having that much power either. F1 definitely needs to come up with something better.

A penalty that has no impact is no penalty at all imho

he wouldn't have needed to wait for Lando without the stuck wheelnut, but his used Mediums would still have been slower than Lando's new Mediums, but Lando wouldn't have had DRS

Let's hope Verstappen and Norris don't turn this into a Prost vs Senna redux.
