So..home ice advantage..not really..haven't checked the East coast stats, but Sharks take two in LA and lose in home, Preds take both in Anaheim and lose at home and I just watched the Blues take out the Hawks at home....not long before teams fight for the 8th spot.

Ahhh, I remember when he figured that Holtby was the weakest competition he's had while here in DC...good times.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say if the Sharks lose tonight then they are done. And here's why: If the Kings come back and we get to a game 7, the King's will win. By winning tonight the Kings will get even stronger and doubt will creep in for the Sharks. This series has been the most evenly matched and close of all the series--coming down to the last 10 seconds and an OT. While some think the King's did not play that well for the first two games, I think these teams are just squeaking out a win on the other--nobody has stole one yet.
If the Sharks win tonight, then they go to LA and possibly lose but then they can come back home and prove themselves by taking it. Sharks need to win in 6 because if they go back to LA for a 7..odds are going to favor the Kings.

I'm torn. I didn't watch, for the most part, and Kings won. . . yet when I came to watch the varsity baseball game while waiting for my son to get back from the JV game, I walked up with 2 outs in the 7th, trailing by 1, and they pulled it out. I did sit on the visitor side, so maybe I need a Sharks jersey

Or, in reality, I have zero effect at all

Yep I remember that too. Neuvy is decent, but obviously nothing special compared to Holtby. The key to winning tonight is going to be to put one past Neuvy early. If they do that, Philly is done in 4. Holtby is the best goaltender the Capitals have ever had.

Nice 3-2 playoff style win with Niemi in at goalie. He won a Stanley Cup so good he's sharp if Kari needs a day or struggles.

Just heard on sirius NHL network all tests showed no damage, all limbs functioning normally, x-rays negative, so no apparent injury. VERY good news, that hit was uber scary.

Brayden Schenn is a total POS.

Don't know how he has been with the Stars this year, but Niemi can be inconsistent and give up bad re-bounds. When he was with the Sharks for several years, you always wondered what kind of day he was going to have. When he won that cup with the Hawks, he was surrounded by a bunch of stars and he was just good enough to get by--that team, like the Stars, was an offensive powerhouse but had better defense.

Lately, our defense has failed us more than the goaltender. 1 of the 2 goals he gave up last night was not even his fault.

Any goaltender can struggle, but if you've won a Cup, you're certified. He's played well, but so has Kari.
