There was this fellow in our new radio control airplane club that we started in 1970. There was little question that he was a skilled builder and a skilled flier, and very competitive. I saw some red flags, but didn't bother explaining it to anyone, or even to myself. He disappeared after a few years. Life was good.

Then he reappeared a little over a year ago. Just a guest visit to our club. Since I was the only one in the club who knew him (I'm the only charter member left), I entertained him. As I listened politely, all of my old memories came flooding back. All he did was talk about himself. He sucked all of the air out of the "room." I was exhausted when he left.

PS - funny, because I just got new glasses a couple of weeks ago. Need to look more closely.
