Watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood last night, it was fun, campy and filled with surprises. The cameos of Bruce Dern and Luke Perry were especially nice to see. Both Leo and Brads actions at the end were particularly satisfying.

Yes, I liked this one as well. Brad Pitt was particularly good to me.

I remember this one quite well. I had just moved to the United States from England the year before it released and was living in Charleston, South Carolina. I saw "To Live & Die in L.A." on the big screen at the mall movie complex - as everyone used to do in the 80s. It made quite an impression on me. I was still assimilating into southern Charleston culture which was nothing like L.A. at least from what I saw in the movie.

The KEEP - 1983 Michael Mann directed The original Directors cut was nearly 4 hours, but Mann wont release it. This movie is REALLY good. The Directors cut would tie loose ends together.

DARK STAR / H.R. Giger - Creator of the Alien creature(s) If you like the bizarre and Eccentric, this is a MUST see. He built a rollercoaster in his backyard that travels through a womans birth canal.

Rob Roy was great, may be time for a re-watch as it has been a long time. Cannot imagine them making anything like that now, Spiderman 29 instead.

I watched Dune the other night.
I thought it was excellent! Sure, I wanted more action. But it's science fiction, not an action movie. I never read the book, I read another one of his books that I hated when I was young. But I thought the music and visuals, the cinematography, were outstanding. I thought the lead actor, and the woman playing his mom, were excellent. And it had a good story. |
