I have about 21 hrs and was in the Navy but my right eye DQ'd me. In my home town, the main street at the airport is named after my flight instructor, Eddie Duffard. RIP Eddie.

SakhirM4 is probably the most well known. I'm fairly sure F22 is and Jockey may be, as well.

You have one more hour than I did... but mine was just private after I got out of the Air Force... fun experience though.

There's also a saying that your number of landings should be equal to your number of takeoffs. In my case, I have one less landing than takeoff.

I had a little over 3,000 hours - 2,800+ in the F-4.

That’s cool, Sakhir...I came really really close to giving that a shot. Passed the exams, had the eyesight, but opted not to pursue it. Always wondered what if.

Do it - you'll love it. I got my license in the late 90s in NZ, and am now thinking about getting my US license and taking it up again - just have to see if there's enough destinations in Texas to make it worth while. NZ had a lot of beautiful places to fly to that were pretty close.

I'm a pilot, but only a PPL - don't fly real planes like the cool kids.

And I have one more takeoff than landing too

Mine however was legit - we were doing a flying school cross country competition, and the pilots had to swap mid flight (instructor in right seat of course) - so I took off and flew the first leg, then climbed in the back and let another guy take over who then did the landing. Swapping pilots in a C172 is not easy mid air.

I can tell that Rudi is getting really irritated at us talking about pilot stuff instead of dating stuff, and I can get that, so I started a new thread about pilot stuff.... lol...

Lol... the only “appreciate” I get from Bimmette is when I say we should take our pilot stuff somewhere else.

Flaps down, nose down, Bimmette!

Not irritated at all sir. I dig that this thread has taken as many different directions as it has. Also love the positivity and how supportive everyone is in here. Have had much going on in the personal life and work that has needed tending. Been on a little here and there but have only been posting as time permits.

Gym time is killing me as of late. I've dropped from 211 in November to 158. Currently at 20% body fat and trying to get at 10-12%. At my weight that another 12-16 pounds to lose which would put me at 146-143. Trying to swap 10-15 pounds of fat for 10-15 pounds of muscle is no fun and delicate balance of eating, cardio, weight resistance, trying to get enough sleep with a busy ass work schedule and still try to spend as much time with the lady as possible. When I started this journey I just wanted to not be fat, now it's become something that has invaded every aspect of my life and a goal that has required more effort than originally planned.

Dude - congrats! Losing 53lbs is no joke and you should be proud of that!

I'd be a fricking rail at 146lbs, but I could probably drop to 160 and look good. Right now I'm sitting around 190, on a 6ft / 6ft 1" frame.
