Taking the Beast in tomorrow for a tune up, make sure it's all set up for summer cruising.

It looks low to me, that`s why I asked.

I have a friend that has a 97 with Bilstein B16, and he`s just as low as you.

I`ve never heard of Porsche coil overs.
Porsche make their own coil overs?

Okay, I got it.
You went with M030 (RoW) suspension, like that it's all OEM parts. Good idea.

Best looking M3 I've seen, color combo with those wheels is stunning.

Me as well. Oxford Green just works so well on that M3 imo.

All travel by BMW 7 series car (rented)

Question for you or anyone else: I would love to plan a driving route from Venice to Innsbruck, and I can see where I could include the Dolomites, including Passo Giau. Would you have any trip recommendations, i.e. the route we could take?
Much appreciation for any effort put forth!

RoW M030 made a big difference on my 996. Murf's car doesn't look slammed so it could be that spec for the 993.

Call me silly and without looking it up, I would think you would go from Vienna to Innsbruck as it's closer?

Not quite, actually this is a birthday gift trip for the wifey, and she wants her birthday to be in Venice. So we structured the trip not by route efficiency, but rather by scenic destinations and other considerations...for instance, besides her birthday wanting to be in Venice, there was a concert scheduled in Vienna we wanted to see on a certain date, blah blah blah.
We're there for 2 weeks.

Everyone has their favorites, of course, but I've been to Innsbruck and Salzburg. Of the two, I found much more to like in Salzburg. And it's in more of a line with Munich and Vienna. Plus you can go through Berchtesgaden and Ramsau. Vienna is still on my bucket list, along with Prague.

Of course if you have specific things you want to see in Innsbruck, just ignore all that I wrote.

Thank you for taking the time for this bit of advice, Mark. My wife had a coworker who told her that Innsbruck was the most beautiful place he had ever seen, so that is what she wanted. It's her BDay trip, so that is what I booked. But perhaps if we have some extra days, we can figure Salzburg in. Appreciate you taking the time to respond!

And coincidentally, this was Wifey's 40th B-Day trip. We spent hers in Salzburg. Went for one day, stayed for three. The biggest problem with a trip to Germany/Austria/Tyrol is finding enough time to see all the cool places. There are just so many great towns and cities. You'd need months to see it all.

I agree - I used to live in Germany

But wifey told me: "I want to visit Munich, Vienna, be in Venice for my BDay, and see Innsbruck, with a day or two to maybe swing into Switzerland before heading back to Munich. And I want to drive so we can see the local sights." We have a pretty cool itinerary actually, with things already booked in advance in each place. So we're looking forward to it; as I mentioned we will be there for 2 weeks. We will be driving through the Italian dolomites region, - certainly not with enough time but enough to give us a taste, - that's why I'm looking for any potential routes from Venice up to Innsbruck. I have something preliminarily, but was interested if Artemis had any suggestions as well....
