Netflix, or Amazon (with their Prime service) would be great outlets for the new show. People would buy a subscription to either one just to see the show, in addition to all of the other content.

It appears Amazon Prime video service is only available for use in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. I imagine Amazon will figure out a way to make it available to viewers worldwide.
This is great news! They're coming back!

Does the American version of Top Gear still run?
I was hoping the trio would just pick up shop and produce/perform their show in the U.S. They were/are great; the U.S. hosts left me feeling empty...not entirely through any fault of their own, but mostly because Clarkson and crew just really can't be mimicked. It was their own unique personalities, and how they meshed (or didn't sometimes), that gave the show its appeal. Sadly, I probably won't see their Amazon Prime show. I'll watch stuff on TV, but I'm not the sort who'll watch on a recurring and regular basis web-based entertainment, except when specifically pointed to something. I don't think Amazon Prime is among the content I can access via Direct TV, and I really don't like watching television on a computer screen. All the best.

That's the best move they can do. Broadcast media is a dying industry. The only people I know that have cable TV are people who also have landline phones, who are basically people above 50.

TY both for your suggestions. It sounds like something that is worth looking into.
It seems I'm getting drawn kicking and screaming into the 21st century. You people make me feel my age. Gone I guess are the days when I could be proud of myself because I had no trouble connecting a VCR to my television. I presume it'd require I have a cord like ethernet cable or something? That probably would work in my hotel room. I don't know how well that'd work at home. Except for the small telly in the kitchen, all my home televisions are installed so you don't know there's a tv in the room if you don't raise it, lower it, or slide back a cover and there's not a lot of clearance. That said, I'm write that not knowing where the RJ-45 jack ports are on my home televisions. So long as hooking up a 'puter to a television doesn't leave cords sticking out or prevent me from "hiding" the television, the idea could work. Quote:

Did anyone else see the B-post home page headline for this thread and think "Dear God, please tell me May and Hammod aren't really sporting those ridiculous things on their upper lips!"? LOL
All the best.

They're not. That's from a top gear episode and they're just stick-on mustaches. They're mimicking police officers IIRC
