Here's a C-class with the upgraded CLS package. I dont know what's worse, this or if he added the amg badge. I dont think anyone has put a 5 or 6 series badge on a 3.

What is possible is that the owner of that car previously had an AMG 63 and transferred the plates. I have 335 vanity plates on my M4 while I am waiting for the M4 plates that I ordered.

Yes very plausible. Except for the AMG badge stuck above the "C300" designation. Makes one wonder. Or is it "will wonders never cease?" Lol and you're OK with your plates. Not too many people out there strive to downplay what they've got

Most likely not the reaction they're looking for from other BMW owners.
Hahahaha I generally give thumbs up to any car from high end luxury cars, sports cars, exotics, and even tastefully modded imports like mazdaspeed 3's, evos, sti's, integras. Basically I'm not a hater cuz of the price bracket. I can appreciate all cars done "right". Never thought of giving thumbs down for cars that disgust me. Thanks!!!

And I can appreciate nicely done 335/435 and 535,550/650. Some even look better then they're stock M counter parts. I can even look the other way when they have a M badge. But when they put the specific model designation (m3/m4 or m5/m6) not only is it tasteless since it's pretty much like rocking fake wheels or fake watches or fake clothes but pretty insulting since your tryna pass off ur lies to me. Like I'm supposed to be dumb enough to believe what your badge says

I don't get the obsession with the M badge.

I'm over here telling my dealer to opt for the "delete badge" option on my incoming m6 :

Less is more IMO

But seriously, what's one more badge on an M Sport car. I believe the official count of M badges on "stock" M Sport was like 17?

It's kind of admirable to see other people aspire to the brand so much. Most of us forget, but to most BMW owners owning an M car is a "someday" dream. So count your blessings.

I have a picture to post for you guys later ...

Ehhh like I said in the post above I don't mind "m" badges too much (now a days can mean so much, they like the M brand, they have a M sport kit or M sport parts. It's the ones with the actual model designation that get to me. And it doesn't have to be M, or amg. That c class above. Cls300?!? Seriously? U don't have to front what ur car is. And many enthusiasts will still appreciate ur car for what it is. But when u have to name it something else it's like ur saying I'm dumb. (I usually don't mind if an american car is badges after its German or Japanese counter part or vice versa as long as the car shares the same platform, engine, suspension and all the key components) sorry for the confusion and I understand the "dream" I just would appreciate if they spent more time chasing the dream instead of wasting time and money tryna fool us

This is extremely common in south Florida. So many m-sport and even non m-sport BMW's with M badges in various configurations on the trunks. Even see X5's with M badges all over them. It makes me cringe every time I see these cars. MB is the same, a lot of AMG sport package cars getting AMG badges on the trunk. I really don't get it. Really pathetic.

So if I have a "M" license plate frame on my wife's X3 M sport, but our other car is a "M", is that okay? She had some guy at a gas station yell at her for it. She told him "My husband drives a M" and he shut up (back when I had my M coupe).
Sometimes people's other car is a true M, other times its for appreciation of the brand, then there are the times where its idiots trying to trick people, but its usually so obvious you just have to laugh at them.

Well, I think your reason for debugging is legitimate and can respect that (not that you were asking for approval). Unlike my buddy who debadges his in the hopes of drawing additional attention and focus...

Spotted an AW 650i on Culver Dr. in Irvine on Sunday. It had an M badge on the rear...no M6, just the M

I too appreciate all cars and the people who are passionate about them. But to try to pull it off as something that it's not isn't really respectable IMHO.

The thumbs down is only reserved for those who are trying to trick others into thinking they are driving an actual M car with a big 'ol badge that doesn't belong.

How about this infringement on the hallowed M1? At least have the decency to badge it a 1M.
