Still struggling to adapt my insulin doses before evening workouts - keep crashing while there. Last night went in at ~120, and within about 10 minutes the warning goes off that I'm down to 84 and dropping. Then leveled off at 91 and 15 minutes later - 67

In my defense, that white-linen clad young lady working the juice bar was very kind to offer me some honey or cookies to bring SOMETHING up

I have a bench with the leg attachment slot, but it didnt come with the attachment. I was looking at them online but before pulling the trigger on one does anyone have good alternatives for leg curls/extensions? I have a rack, bench, plates, and cables... typical garage gym setup.

Tons of good alternatives that can be done with just body weight. With that said, leg extensions are purely quad focused. They are probably the most difficult to replicate, but that doesn't mean there isnt a good alternative. For quads, lunges are your friend. Tons of different alternatives from standard to step-up, bulgarian split squads, etc etc. For hamstrings, hip thrusts, these can be done laying on your back or with your back on the bench. More so about getting the proper movement through the iteration. You can also do straight leg dead lifts, just be careful with form, you don't need a ton of weight. Also, you can do standing cable hamstring curls if you buy the attachment - this can also be done laying on a bench away from the machine. Another is laying face down on the bench and picking up a dumbbell with your feet, then doing curls that way.

Good luck!

Busy week thus far, but have worked out each day. Sunday was a 5k with a round of 18. Monday was 4 miles, abs, yoga. Tuesday was back/triceps, 2500m row, abs, and 70 flights on the stairs. Wednesday was shoulders/biceps, 2500m row, abs, and 75 flights. This morning was chest, 5k run, yoga and abs. So far so good! We will see if I make it to the gym tomorrow. It is a beautiful day here in Charleston and you best believe St Pattys day will be in full swing haha.

Got my PRx installed! I need to come up with a solution for cable crossovers and such. I got two of there cable pulley sets, but need to come up with a way to have them far enough part. I also need to get some mats.

Also don't get this Grind bench. The seat is adjustable, but its just a pin on some flimsy teeth on one side, so it wobbles like crazy (you can see it leaning to the left in the photo). Luckily I'm decent at fa work so I'm going to weld up some proper sawtooth adjusters like it should have had to begin with.

Slacked since last thursday in reference to gym presence, but have still been active which is good. Lot of golf over the weekend and chores. Summer tone starting to come into play. Sitting right around 184 and feeling lean. Have been drinking too much though which is less then ideal, but that has lead to eating less as well. Back in the gym this morning finally for back and triceps over a 40min span. Followed by a 5k, held a 7:15 pace through the 5k without over exerting myself which was pretty solid, especially since my stomach was not feeling great when I woke up. Abs for 15 to end the workout.

Plan is the same tomorrow, but shoulder and triceps instead.

Still taking a long break from the gym, going maybe once a week to strength test. Doing lots of isometrics at home, dumbbells, pull-ups (weighted) and band work. Maintaining 193 lbs. Feels good to see results without having to drive to the gym and makes the gym feel like a special occasion when I do go. I tend to overdo it at the gym which leads to irritability that I normally don't really mind - but with all that's going on right now I just find it better to train at home.

Just finished 50 minutes of fasted cardio on the stair climber. I may show again the first quarter of next year. My stage weight was 178 lbs. the last couple of times I showed, so if I can be 185-188 lbs. on stage the next time I will have hit my target. I'm currently walking around at 210 lbs.-ish @ 12% body fat.

The only "con(s)" would be accessibility and equipment, otherwise, maintaining your fitness is always a pro. If Lifetime Fitness offers accessible hours, equal, or better, equipment than its rivals, and all at a competitive price, what's the hold up?!?!

Ideally it's a month to month contract and ideally it's not crowded during the hours you want to be there. Ideally it doesn't stink like hell and ideally there are well maintained and clean equipment. But everyone has their own unique likes and dislikes. My biggest recommendation is zero in on music that motivates you and then bring headphones and crush it for an hour.

Do a free 1 week trial period first

Haha! What exactly do you do that your work can be performed while on escape in the tropics? I'm surely in the wrong profession.

Hell yeah! Good shit bro. Legs are, by far, my favorite body part to work along with my back. It helps a lot in the various martial arts that I train. Here's a lil' pic from yesterday's rolling session.
