Lol yeah in MD it is completely legal to do so. Similar to the firework laws here. You can't buy them in MD but you can light them off. Now IDK much about the New Jersey law but it seems a bit more strict.

Just for an interested foreigner...if I consider to travel through NJ from anywhere and carry my handgun with a bigger mag than allowed into NJ; Am I allowed to have it just as visitor or do I have to inform me previous about this individual law and reduce the capacity?

Date proofing of ownership of HC magazines might be LEO judgement. Some magazines you can prove at least that they are made before the ban (ie PMAG's have date codes on them). For non date coded ones, just take a photo of the receipt and have a spare copy in the range bag if your worried about it. How you conduct yourself I found helps the way they treat you.
I'm am in a state where MG's are not legal to own (excluding grandfathered ones). However I have one under my business and I when I first took it out I was concerned LEO would give me a hard time, or the range master would give me a hard time. I carry a copy of my ATF Form 3 in electronic and in hard copy.. Never had any LEO or range master ask for it yet. Posting a little fun here: |

Right
In overseas Germany the gun laws are very strict and you are not allowed to carry any arms with you as private person.

Would have got a smack on the back of the head from a British Army instructor back in the day holding a STEN like that
Supporting hand should be in front of mag/ejection part holding the vented barrel shroud, taking care not to let your little finger slide back into the port and being chopped off...... My late father had many a tale of spotting the squaddies with the ends of their left little fingers missing, who you knew hadn't listened to the instructors That's why they lengthened the barrel shrough on the Mk3, and even added a little curved metal lug ahead of the ejection port to stop errant little fingers sliding into the port.

You would need to change your magazine to one that holds less then 10 (in CA, I think its like 7 in NY or something). As of right now, POSSESSION of a high (standard) capacity magazine is against the law in CA. For many years that was not the case, you just couldn't buy standard capacity mags in CA, if you had old ones (pre 2000) you could keep them and maintain them. You can 'permanently' (I use quotes because any process done and be undone), modify standard capacity mags to hold no more then 10 rounds. I have many modified standard cap mags, for some its a "plug" under the follower, for metal mags a well placed dent does the job. |

Nice, but the buttstock reminds more to a Winchester

Consider this a "picture of things I bought" thread submission...
Replacing some match-grade .223 rounds I used up while zeroing the new optic I bought a few weeks ago. Picked up 120 rounds of the Remington 62 gr; and 100 rounds of the Black Hills 68 gr for my 1:8 twist barrel.

How do you like the optic? I've been thinking about doing a 20inch AR build and I would need a decent optic.

I have the JM-1 BDC reticle in this Gen II model. Really like it. Plenty bright red dot illumination.. I usually shoot indoor and have it on level 2 brightness. Sweet glass. Only drawback is it's not the lightest option in the world.

Since we are talking about firearms.. I thought to mention that Palmetto State Armory has the S&W M&P15-22 bundled promo kit (includes case and optic) cheaper than what dealer's can buy it for ($299.99). Dealer pricing is $340. It goes in and out of stock all the time. (PSA part # 12546).
Just thought to share. I did pick up PSA's new gen 2 KS-47 which is basically a AR that shoots AK rounds using the AK magazine. |
