Given your reticence to clarify, I will go with option A. Actually, as I read them both again, both reasons provide the same results - seems like a distinction without a difference. Carry on.
Either way, you're still going to fap to the thought.

No, I mean I will put H&R Sport on it, but it won't be as extreme as my 335i; that's what I meant. Lol. Nor will it be as loud.

My 335i was TOO LOUD.

No, silvergray545, you are not allowed to say that it wasn't because you are biased.

Yeah, that was also a mod on my 335i. I was debating just cloning my setup on my old car minus the catless DP (muffler delete, debating keeping resonator), but I actually may just splurge for the Performance exhaust. It's a great balance, for a car like that.

Plus I know a few folks in parts at my local dealer (GetBMWParts is actually BMW of Silver Spring, MD, which is literally walking distance from my house).

The new stock exhaust is actually really nice with the valves open. But, I'm also a old man on the inside. Lol

You know when I test drove it, I was shocked when they brought it around front at how loud the stock exhaust was. It kinda sounded like a garbage disposal crushing ice cubes. And I am ashamed to say that I loved it. LOL.

I just turned over 47k on the GLI. I'd lose my ass on an F8x with all the miles I drive. I'm losing my ass on the GLI the way it is now. But it's ok because that car was only like $30k.

I miss my Jetta. Put 120k. Still the best stick shift I've daily driven. Perfect throw and clutch.

The new ones -MK6- (dunno if you experienced this silvergray545) have a SUPER long throw, it actually threw me off because I'm used to short throws from the factory. The gear engagement is also very mushy/soft. However, that CLUTCH was fucking fantastic. Impossible to stall.
