This is a better result for Max, than if Max had won the race and Lando finished second(Lando most likely had a 5sec track limits penalty coming his way).

Max gained 11 points with 5th and fastest lap point. Now 81 points ahead of Lando in championship.

There is no excuse in the world that can justify VER's defense in turns 1,3,4. The double moves, the moving under braking (Charlie Whiting called Max out on this one...installing a rule outlawing the move and calling it "The Verstappen Rule") and finally the left turn into Lando...We saw the 17yr old Max back again.

As someone that has pulled for McLaren since Mika drove for them and subsequently wants Lando to succeed. Even I'm not as pissed as some of these Max haters...aka closet Hamilton fans that hate Max.

He's always been there, just too far out front for it to rear it's ugly head.

This is exactly why Checo is the #2 driver at RB.

Can someone explain how Max did over half a lap on flat tire, completed an extra pitstop and still finished ahead of Checo?

Seriously what is wrong with Checo, he has never been this slow?

Indycar have a rule that you can’t change your line to react to the position of a following car. The defender has to pick a line then stick to it. This needs implemented in F1. Of course Max would then be just another driver.

I don’t hate Max, some of his driving is incredible and he is as fast as the very very best. But he doesn’t respect other drivers and has almost Schumacher esk ability to think he did one thing but in reality he did something entirely different.

His defence that he didn’t move under braking as a classic real time example is laughable, in today’s 5 camera angles, onboards and data it’s not even in doubt. He got a penalty and 2 points on his license for today’s driving.

I think Checo got a damaged sidepod .

But actually that hasn't changed anything ...
It's more like : Checo crashed or Checo is just too slow in the last 4 races .
In the QF and races in a RB20 !
Checo lost it completely and drives out of sight...

F1 rules are pretty clear, they give drivers one move. Most choose to cover inside and force drivers around the outside. I believe Max was just skirting the rules and getting away with it until his last move. He was clearly moving left under braking and squeezing Lando. The penalty was deserved. He does have a Schumacher mindset, Schumi never admitted fault. He was a very aggressive with cars behind, before there was any blocking rules.

Dude, your screen shot is completely out of context. Lando was trying to get around a very slow Max and Max pinched him off the track. Lando immediately hit the brakes and got back on track and got back behind Max. There was nothing extremely dangerous by Lando, just Max being Max all over again, except this time with a flat.

Lando has sold more merchandise than any GB drivers last few Silverstone races. He has a large fan base.
