PS - and in hindsight practically every movie could've been made better.
Sure, but for me it would've been nice to have a srs tone, like what Nolan did to Batman.
Maybe Carpenter and Nolan can get together and make a new horror movie and Sam Raimi can join in for even more campiness.

CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME was excellent. Drama based on a book of the same title set in early 90's New York. It's amusing Melissa McCarthy went from this drama to The Happytime Murders and kills in both.

Cool, 3 of my fave directors. Funny you mentioned Raimi because some of his stuff is not too campy for me (e.g. Drag me to Hell) and he sets such a great tone in his movies. Oh ya, make it happen!

What? I thought Drag Me To Hell was camp. What about that old Gypsy lady? Plus more. I love Sam Raimi movies, btw.

I guess there are ranges of camp, to me, it wasn't the 'cringey' kind of camp (like many parts of Evil Dead series/film, the whole Glee show, etc...real camp imho) and didn't turn into some pseudo-comedy and was srs enough, w enough dread. The gypsy woman was creepy and stuff like her false teeth falling out wasn't camp to me, it's nasty and unsettling. If that's still considered camp, I don't mind that.

Ya, Sam is the man.

Yeah, to me it was pretty camp. Like you said, not Evil Dead camp, but still camp. Difference of opinion.

At least we agree on Sam Raimi.

PS - Ted's pretty cool too.

The story, the acting, the cinematography, and of course that awesome score. But some movies aren't for some people. I really don't like Marvel movies. We all have different tastes.

Of course, the gun fight in the end is so awesome. Especially with the music.

Just out of curiosity, did you like unforgiven?

Not seen unforgiven.

I lost interest when eastwood betrayed the crazy mofo, left him for dead, i mean what did he think would happen? It was super long, slow, not much happened. I'll try and finish it but it's tough sledding.

On a whim, I rented Dirty Harry last night. Good movie.
Clint Eastwood playing an angry Clint Eastwood. The bad guy had a recurring role in a Star Trek series.

Watched this last night in 4K. Was pleasantly surprised! Didn't expect much going in but I am already familiar with the characters from comics I read as a kid.
It had 2 Easter eggs at the end. The last one being the introduction of Blade (by voice only).
