When I saw you posted here, I absolutely didn't expect to see a picture of a car.

What I expected, was a picture of a squirrel two ways. One very much alive in a tree somewhere, and then the same one after a little elapsed time in a dish along with some accompaniments.

I think I'm a little disappointed. I'm not sure yet, but I think so.

Finally got the chance to take the pups on an 11hr road trip up to my family's cabin in Cedar Mountain, NC (family owned for 100+ yrs). It was their 1st time to actually see woods and hike trails.

The 1st pic is the wife & I and Clarke (10 mo old puppy sticking her tongue out at me) and Owen (5yr old) in front of Triple Falls in Dupont State Forest.

The 2nd is a picture of Owen surveying/protecting the yard from our Airbnb's porch (you can spy my F10). My family filled up our cabin, so we got an AirBnB. Owen was always watching the yard for us, even would sit outside the fire light & watch the woods/patrol while we hung out.

We had to have one of our two kitties put down last week. We enjoyed 18 years of her companionship. She was full grown when she showed up on our doorstep, so not sure of her age, but probably 19 to 20 years old.

I'm missing her terribly. She was my shadow, particularly since retiring 9 years ago. She loved her yard and asked to go out several times a day. During her senior years, I always (100%) went outside with her. When I opened the door, she always went out about 3 feet, then stopped and looked over her shoulder to make sure I was following. We enjoyed countless hours in our beautiful backyard together.

I buried her in her beloved yard, complete with a marker and a small solar light.
