Sucks... might try letting a few lbs. of air out of your front tire. It'll do wonders for comfort. Be careful not to let too much out though (especially if you are running 23mm tires) because the more you let out the easier it'll be for you to pinch-flat. But you'd be surprised at the difference 3-5lbs less air in your tires makes. Depending on how bad you are banged up if you really want to ride I'd suggest getting some fatter tires to smooth things out (i use 28mm personally). I used to have to run 110lbs front/115lbs rear when I ran 23mm tires. Now I run 90lbs/95lbs. Negligible increase in the amount of weight (for me anyway) to run the wider tires and the bike now feels like a Cadillac. |

I'm going to get some of those podium bottles next spring, they look like the real deal and I dig that valve at the top. Glad they are finally available in non-hideous colors.
Right now my water actually get's colder when I go riding in the AM. |

I use polar bottles with camelbak covers, awesome combo. Far as riding goes I went to the doctor again and I can't do any types of sports for 3 weeks. It's to the point where I can't to many things anymore. So I did some serios damage,.

Did a 29 mile ride yesterday from my house through Red Top Mountain and was a nice ride. The traffic was a bit harrowing on the way back but fortunately it wasn't too traveled. First time I took this route and the climbs were challenging to the point of needing to drop down into the lowest ring, front and rear.
Got another tri Sunday afternoon which should have been nice considering the time of year but looks like near 90 F temps for the 1:00 PM race. Last week's tri started at 48 F (which the water felt warm at a balmy 73 F). |

Fortunately the weather has been warm and was able to do 45 miles last Saturday afternoon in the north Georgia mountains. That was a wonderful ride with temps in the low 70's and the colorful mountains to view. |

CR1 seems like a great value for what you get. Just finished stripping my Cannondale down to the frame, powdercoated the frame and fork and repacked wheel bearings, bottom bracket, headset and new brake and shifter cables. Finally bought ergonomic loop bars and a shorter stem. Been out on 4-5 rides since I finished the build-up, yesterday I snapped my chain in half and put my left knee into my frame. Luckily it was at the start of my ride so I ended up walking home with my chain in my hand.
Not sure how I didn't crash since I ended up on my top tube of my frame and both feet unclipped from my pedals.... Going for a mtn. bike ride today, hoping to make it thru the day without any major breakdowns.

I'm planning on transferring schools for next fall and some of them have collegiate cycling teams. I better hit the trainer over the winter and into the spring if I want to be a part of that. It would be cool to be part of a team like that though

Quite a bit recently; 2 - 3 times per week. Had to as I just did a Duathlon two weeks agon and the first Sprint Triathlon of the season this Sunday. Got a couple of Olympic distances this summer with my first Half Iron this October.
I was glad to see the weather get warmer as I was hating those cold rides. I'd rather it be in the 70's than 50's. |
