I vividly recall because my best buddy had a 733i that we used to call the fish and when we saw the movie on video we started calling him Jamaican. |

I had a gf back in the day that referred to it as an "ex-erati" - rhymed with Maserati. Yeah, she didn't last. #worth though.

Dude, I'm sorry to say....you lose points for being a human if you've had an XR4Ti. Lol. Didn't that thing have like a triple decker rear spoiler? Sciroccos are great. I had a VR6 Jetta III and used to pull 3-wheel turns in it. |

Are you kidding? Double-deck spoiler. I ripped out the injectors and put in higher flow variants, slapped on an intercooler, and routed out the throttle body. Sooooooo much power!! Unfortunately, too much for the press fit drive shaft and after I shredded the 4th one it had to go. After one particular night of hard-core racing, I parked it on my parents lawn and it killed all of the grass under the car. The turbo and exhaust manifolds glowed bright orange after hard running. I still miss it's rawness. Oh Yes...three wheel turns. Completely freaked all of my rear-wheel drive competitors out. The scene back then was the euro car drivers vs. the asian car drivers. Same as today. |

Same process with the sciroccos. Rip out the spark arrestors, hotter wires, euro injectors, hotter plugs, Ansa exhaust, Neuspeed Throttle bodies. |

See if this jives your VW juices: - Autotech chip - Shrick cams - Shrick variable intake manifold - Neuspeed strut bar - Neuspeed short shift kit - Neuspeed intake - Remus exhaust with 2 square tips - H&R springs - centerforce clutch That VR6 sounded like a mini 5.0 |

Hahaha I'm ok as long as their builds don't consist of bags and the most hideous set of wheels I've ever seen.
But on the FB groups I'm in, I'm one more stance bro post away from unfollowing all that shit. |

It always BOGGLED my mind as to the wider rear tires in spite of the FWD bias. One of my good buddies is planning on running 10 inch wheels up front, and 11 inch wheels in the rear, on his RS. It is a 12V VR6 MK4 Jetta with an R32 front conversion, and makes less horsepower than my Mini.
And yet, he talks down on people who have "distasteful" mods or run replica wheels. Whatever disease VW owners suffer from, I sure as fuck am glad it never got me.
