I found that the Sig P220-10 makes for a good 10mm platform. With the stainless lower it has enough weight to mange hot loads with about the same recoil as an alloy framed .45.

I once had a Delta Elite which was great for the same reasons, that's how I got into 10mm. That is a fine gun you have there sir!

Trick with 10mm is most of the loads on the market are loaded to .40 S&W specs so something smaller and polymer like that G29 may feel fine trying out a friend's or something and then you load your own with the hot stuff and it about flies out of your hand.

Dont like the stubby grip appearance of the Glock, if I go for a Glock it would be the G34. For Sig I stay at my 229

I added a vortex 4-16 scope. Should be much easier to shoot long ranges.

True looks rather large for just a foregrip, usually better then to have it pushed out towards the muzzle for more stability and less bounce/flip. Even my bipod on my bcm 20 build with 15 inch keymod gaurd would like pushed out further.

thats also part of the fun of an ar, you buy it configured one way and it can evolve into something else entirely

I think it's better to have 20 different ones instead. Wife doesn't know I can just change them around.

LOL

Saw a meme a few years ago that said ARs are like Barbie dolls for men.

There is a bit of truth in that.

my wife has no idea about my, rather substantial, gun collection, not that she cares

i have pro with a rail, and buds gun shop totally screwed me on a pro with no rail, still a little bitter, but moving on

since you asked

they had a preorder option for the pro in the ca approved section of the site, it was a good deal around $2500 (this was probably two years ago), so i put in the order, they charged my card and i waited...for over a year. After about 14 months the gun came in, they contacted me a told me that there was not ca approved pro (untrue) and we had to cancel the order. They refunded my money, and i am sure they sold the gun for about $600 more then i paid, (keep in mind, this is when the gun market was going nuts).

I called them and tried to get the to send it to my buddy who is a cop (at the time didn’t have to deal with the ca roster bs), they wouldn’t. My feeling, they wanted to sell it for the then ‘current’ value rather then what i paid and waited for, and they saw an easy out. the pro does have the ca approved number

I will likely move the grip backwards a bit.
