Hot and humid. Went to the Bill Burr show last night at an open air amphitheater and he was drenched. Went outside for some chores now and I am too.

Mostly cloudy and upper 70's F here in the SC midlands. A line of t-storms came through around noon, and a second line came through after 6 PM. The afternoon line generated a tornado warning for where we were at the time. Radar-indicated, and I didn't see it.
On the bright side, one of our questions about our SC lot is if water is flowing through a certain part of it during heavy rains. We now have an answer (no), and wet hiking boots drying in the bathroom.....

Wicked storm tore through the province on Saturday. Our local airport clocked the winds at 132km/h (82mph). Tons of trees / hydro lines down and at least 10 people died. It's going to take weeks to clean up.
https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/what-you-...torm-1.5915684 I flew home on Sunday so wasn't there to witness it. |

Decent here for a change. Warm and sunny. Time to paint the shed.

I wore a jacket for our walk last night but was overheating towards the end of the walk. T-shirt and shorts/sandals tonight.

I remember in the early 2000s the high for Phoenix was between 107-110F, it’s gotten to 117 or 118 the past few years. With the population continuing to increase I’m wondering how long before the summers are steadily in the 120s here

We drove up to our place in Asheville yesterday. Perfect day today weather-wise. Much better than the heat we left behind. Hope it holds up all week.
Stopped in Pooler, GA (Savannah area) for lunch yesterday and think it was hotter than FL.

I was out there for business in 2013. I remember it being 113 for days at a time. The cloth seats in my rental car were hot, which is the only time I can remember cloth seats being hot.

Yep I’m counting down the days till I get out of this hellhole and up to Raleigh, should be 4-6 weeks. All of my immediate family is here and have no plans on leaving so I’ll come back to visit in January, they can have the heat and soaring prices. Myself, I’m liking the cold more and more as I age…just so long as I don’t have to shovel snow out of the driveway
