The Red Bull looked so much faster in the corners and looked more planted than the Ferrari ...
Today the Red Bull didn't got porpoising , while the Ferrari was bouncing at the end of the straight .
I heard that the 2022 RB18-B brakes are stronger , probably that's why MAX was able to brake later .

But the Ferrari looked very fast on the straight ...

Even in last year's car, Max can outbrake anyone. He's just the most naturally gifted guy out there.

I'm excited to see what Redbull reveals tomorrow. I have a feeling that they might have been sandbagging the hardest. This might very well be a RB v Ferrari season too.

I paid around $100 (~100 Euro) to fill up my truck today with the lowest octane fuel and I though that was bad! I'm taking my R8 to the track next weekend - not going to enjoy feeding the V10.

Lets be clear though at 24 Max has had more seasons in F1 then Ham. That is not an apples to apples comparison. A fair comparison would be first X seasons in F1. Not denying that Max is a talent but its irresponsible to say Ham is not a talent as well.

Agreed. I dislike Hamilton the person but acknowledge that he is one of the greats. Only thing that drives me nuts is how the brilliant work of Merc has inflated the perspective that he's on the same level or better than Ayrton or Schumi.

I'm watching clips of all the in-car footage from today and these cars are really struggling with understeer in slow corners. All the drivers look like Alonso circa 2005 fighting the understeer.

It's not that bad here at the mo, so far it's roughly 33% up from April with a warning it will escalate later on.

Why don't you compare by race starts? Here's a graph comparing race start by race start, starting from race 1 to rave 91 which corresponds to Max's 91 race, and Lewis's 91st race in F1.





Lewis beats him in all metrics if you compare it this way, don't forget max was nicknamed crashstappen for a reason in his early career, because he was overly aggressive and crashed alot. While Lewis was a title contender in his first season, and won it in his second F1 season. Those are the concrete non cherry picked facts.


So if you want the reality of things max only became the top level driver that we know today recently, he was never ultra consistent throughout his early career.
