While most self-defense engagements are in that 3 yard range you mentioned, you should also be familiar with the 21 foot rule. It says that An attacker 21 feet away from you will be able to close that distance before you're able to draw and fire. Basically, try to be proficient out to 7 yards, and make sure to always be aware of your surroundings so that you notice possible threats before they get into that 21 foot range.

Feet or yards? 3 feet you can almost touch the target with your gun and would not be firing from a pressed out position

There seems to be a problem with this image... it doesn't show your lower half.

What were you aiming for and what do you mean by needing to be lower? Looks like center of mass to me.

I was aiming for the X. I only hit it once out of 10 but I guess that is better than 0/10

In 20 years of shooting I've never seen anyone put 10 rounds through the same hole. You are doing just fine.

Well that makes me feel better. I actually do have one target at home that I sent 4 bullets through the same hole. I'll have to snap a pic of it tonight. I keep all my targets and date them so I can see my improvement

and again, I'm only shooting at 3.0 -3.5 yards. So it's still amatuer

My "Appreciate" is because I can see the attachment and not just Mr Tonka.

Also, I don't how else to comment without someone taking offense when none is meant, so I'll just leave it at that.

Pretty impressive for 3 feet distance. Would have expected the group to be a little bit more spread out.
