Why pay for brand names?

I like running naked.

Not really, although, it was kind of cool to save a pair of shorts and shirt from laundry by running in boxer briefs this morning.

The treadmill is almost exclusively for the wife. I like the idea of using it right now until my knees stop being grumpy.

She has a problem getting her legs to fatigue before her VO2 maxes out when it's hot and humid. So for her to get her legs exercised more she runs intervals on the treadmill. The cooler temps and lower humidity in doors allows her legs to max out before her lungs do. And by working her legs in this fashion, she's training them to be more efficient thus requiring less O2 for the same result or a better result for the same about of O2. Or so that's what her running coach said. Seems to be working as she's getting faster over the same distances.

Anyway, the only gym close to us with a "shower" that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for 24hr access is this old school hole in the wall muscle market gym. They've got 4 treadmills and 1 shower with no towel hanger and is sometimes missing a shower curtain. Plus, last week she got asked out by a guy who recently got out of prison for raping a minor.

i'm not sure where he's taking her, but i hope she brings home some cake or something.

I was told generic was just as good. They said the grains were to exfoliate.

My biggest gripe is that when you increase or decrease the speed setting, the speed of the belt increases or decreases very slowly. So much so that it's hard to tell when it's stopped increasing. It would be nice if the LCD showed the actual belt speed vs selected speed so you can anticipate how much longer or more it's going to increase in speed. The speakers aren't great, but meh... The fans aren't great, but didn't expect those to be that wonderful either.

We got that one for the large motor and heavy duty belt and frame. Well, and because it folds up.

Yeah as long as the motor and belt hold up, it should last. Thanks again for sharing your experience. I am also going to check out the proform boston marathon 4.0; heard that it might be a bit high.. need to keep the treadmill in garage.

Wish I knew when I moved here that there was a light rail line (Metro Gold Line)... Since I slept with the windows open earlier for the first time since it somehow got up to 90°F, it sounds like some sort of UFO landing with a high-pitched shrill every time it whooshes by.

Weighed in today 30 pounds lighter than when i started tracking calories in mid July 2015. Yay!

2 more pounds and i break the 200 pound barrier. Haven't been under 200 pounds since 2001 and even then it was a short visit. Pretty much been between 220 and 235 since the end of high school.

I smoked ribs and beans the other day. Beans were amazing. Ribs had a huge smoke ring but were slightly drier than I planned. I didn't really brine them:

I forgot to take an after picture but Probably the best ribs I have ever made. Amazing bark, deep smoke ring. Beans were just phenomenal.

I picked up some Meth(free!) from a nice forum member for my new addiction. 5 Gallons unopened. 3 gallons in the red tank 80/20 mix:

Oh I smoked a chicken the other day. Juiciest chicken I have ever had(Brined it before). Amazing smoke flavor. Probably the best chicken I have ever made other than my fried chicken.

That is all.
