No kidding.....I can put up with most of the artistic licence that movies and tv use. Some for expediency of getting the story told in a 1 hour episode, (cop shows are a prime example of this), others just to make the story work. All one has to do is watch any Fast and Furious movie to see this in spades.....not a damn thing is plausible but they can be entertaining. So let's just suspend our disbelief and enjoy.

That's the job of the storyteller, not me. For example, the very first Star Wars movie suspended my disbelief the moment that battle cruiser loomed in over my head -- about 30 seconds into the movie.

Occasionally I'll intentionally stop caring, but it doesn't happen often.

I love season one, but season two was kind of weak. Especially the last two or three episodes. But I am sad to see it go.

I found mindhunter to be waaaaaaay too slow burner for me. Too much Drama in real life. I want to be entertained!

Finished watching The Queen's Gambit on Netflix. Despite the good reviews here, I didnt think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Definitely recommended!

Currently watching Barbarians on Netflix. I'm a few episodes in and am liking it so far.

Germanic tribes vs the Roman empire. The show is loosely (I assume) based on the Battle of Teutoburg Forest. At least a couple of the character names are historically accurate.

Ok...that is a little unfair. The wonder of Star Wars and scaling can't be included in this conversation.

Seriously, my fav scaling shot was The Avenger scene in the The Empire Strikes Back.

We are all a little too jaded now. When I go to the movies, I go with the wonder of the 10 year old me, not jaded me or I'd ruin the experience and only read the books. With the exception of the worst movie ever made: Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I flipped coins with my now ex-wife on this one and I lost. I still have flashbacks on this one.
