Prefer this myself...

When I was in Japan, I think (by translation and broken English) that Yamazaki changed ownership...and there's something about them being able to technically sell the 12 or 18 until the time of new ownership has hit. Not sure if it's true, but my last 2 trips there, I was not able to find any.

Went out last night and went whiskey neat. Had a first wee dram that was OK, can't remember the name. Then I took on the challenge of Highland Park. The waiter came with the glass and said the bar tender went a little heavy on the pour. I think it was because she couldn't give that shit away. Waiter claimed no, that was teh most requested whiskey they served. I had to send it back. My brother couldn't hardly even smell the shit, wouldn't put any across his lips. I sent it back, but said I would pay since I made the request. Manager credited my bill anyways.

So to lighten things up, I ordered a final snoot of Angel's Envy. OMG, that was sweet/smooth.

This wasn't just their regular draw, apparently. "Peat mash, creating the smokiest whiskey on earth" or something to that effect.

Peated whisk(e)y isn't everyones cup of tea.....I used to hate it but have begun to enjoy it. Talisker is one of my fav's now. Salty, peaty and a bit of smoke.

Bought this today on a lark because it's aged in IPA barrels and I love IPA. It is goooood. Might become my new Go To quaff. There was also a Stout Barrel version.
