I hate to be critical, but is it just me or did Danica Patrick look like she gained a lot of weight? No longer a hottie! Her outfit sucked too.
Her interview skills were lacking too…

Im saying setup, for the first time the RB looked planted in every corner.

Max is Max, super consistent all year and hasn't made any mistakes. So give him a fast car and he'll be fastest, pretty simple logic.

Finally RB have given Perez a car he can drive fast too and he's near in the top.

The 16B has a new floor . Checo ran it already in Turkey ...
That's why he could get into a fight with HAM .
Remember the pitlane incident where HAM pushed Checo into the pitlane !

Checo with the new floor, was the Red Bull's test mule in Turkey . Today MAX ran it too .
That's why the 16B looked so planted today for both , and the full potential of the HONDA PU can be used .
Checo got always the same machinery , but he struggled the whole season with the 16B's rear end .
The new floor is a great job from Newey !

Today Checo looked more confident with the new floor than MAX is ..
That's because Checo ran more km's and already 2 races with the new feeling and floor in the car .
MAX's addaption with a new feeling in a car is lightning fast anyway ..

Did you see the Wolf's face after the QF ?
To me it looked like a thunderstorm ...


And BTW : (finally) Congrats for Checo !

Great drives by Max, Checo, Danny R and Hammy.

Merc has significant pace advantage on the straights and are hitting terminal velocity much quicker than the RBRs With a slipstream the Mercs could hit 350 kph during the race. Mercs struggle with cooling in the Texas Heat.

Post qualifying, Hammy said it will be a good race into Turn 1. Foreshadowing for a collision? Toto keeps referring to DNFs this week and the last time he repeated the DNF mantra was Silverstone.

I just put down flyer bet for a Bottas WDC.

I need to read more about it but there's nothing online yet.


Also I wouldn't label it the "newey" floor. Sure he's the technical lead, but one man doesn't get the job done. There's a bunch of super talented engineers that our the grunt work in to turn a sketch into reality. They have to turn the sketch into a CFD model, fix any errors with the design so it works better in real life and with the other bits on the car. Then the wind tunel guys have to test it and further refine it. So it's more team work than one person at the top.

It's also super demoralizing for the people who work on the car if you just give one person credit. It's a team game. So I'd call it the RBR floor, just like how no one calls it the Allison dampener or das etc.

The Newey floor (I like to call it that) and new chassis for Max appears to make a big difference, it shows what a brilliant brain can conceive then let the RBR team construct and shoehorn the creation into the car.
